You were right, I loved the puzzles! I could see some similarities, especially with the jumping in the lava to progress, and opening the gates, so of course I enjoyed your game haha. It felt similar to a Zelda dungeon, with the way we leave block statues of ourselves to form a path, good job.

I really liked the idea! I enjoy that I cannot get hurt, but I care about these humans and protecting them.

I like the retro feel, and I really like the idea of choosing the correct block to break, that it will turn green. I think maybe give us just a little more time to process which one turns green and react to it. Of course, that amount of time to process could get smaller and smaller as the game goes on!

Great use of Unity, it looks and feels very nice, the fighting feels fluid and responsive.

I will try your game as soon as I can! Thank you, you made me realize a point of possible confusion for the player. The first level is sort of like a tutorial. I added the following in my game description: "You will not find the first orb until the end of the second level."

You aren't supposed to jump over there. After the part you said you did where you went to the new door, then you walk to the left, jump up and go through the second gate. Then walk to the right, jump in the new patch of vines, and it will take you to the exit door.

What do you mean? After you go through the gate, you are supposed to jump into the vines to die.
When you die, you don't really die, it transports you to the nearest door. So after you go through the gate, jump in the vines, it will take you to a new door to continue the level.

Oh I see what's happening! You are are too close to the overhanging ledge when jumping, and have to back up a little bit.

Thank you for the great comments and critique! That is strange that it does not work with the joystick. What happens is that when the player stops moving, regardless of if it is by joystick or arrow key, the darkness is supposed to fade away. It could be fixed with a little work. For the music, I was afraid that it was too urgent already haha but I will take your advice, and could increase the energy!

Thank you! Yes, that is a bug, thank you for letting me know

I also updated the game so that you collect ammunition to shoot the drones.

I updated it again just now, I think it should work now with a gamepad/joystick!

Is it okay if the game only has keyboard controls at the moment, and if our game is chosen for a cabinet, we can add joystick controls at that time?

Thank you for your response. You are right! It was changed to the 10th on the event page in the time after I had posted.

Hello, I see that the deadline on itch.io page is Feb 10 11:00 EST, and on the event page it says that Feb 9 is the deadline. Can we submit on the event page by Feb 10 11:00 EST to not be considered late?

I thought that at first, but I think you can do anything you want in your level. You just have to enter a portal (or something similar) at the end of the level, to "pass" the player to the next level, which will be made by someone else.

Thank you for the review. It is true, I couldn't figure out the best camera for the game. With more freedom it seemed too wonky, but maybe that would have been the better choice! Did you find a bug with the lanterns? The lady will only pick them up when she passes by, so if you are too late, you have to try again. I am glad you found that you can go into some areas before talking to the character. It was a very subtle thing, so that is great that you discovered it!

I'm glad that you enjoyed it! Leaderboard is currently the built-in GDevelop leaderboard where they can sign in to their GDevelop account to use their personal username. That could be replaced with the Luxodd SDK instead. And definitely more challenges!
I see now it says I submitted 6 hours before the deadline...was it opened up again with additional time to submit?

Thank you :) Off topic...but now I'm wondering if Ketchapp is still active or not

Thank you, that means a lot. You are right...I didn't have as much time as I wanted to work on it, but I was thinking different obstacles to jump over and run under!

Thank you so much for your detailed comment! The dryad has a set path, and the level will end when she gets to the end. You guide the creatures to the lamps (they should stay there) which are on her path, and she will pick them up when she passes by. In hindsight, I should have made some simpler levels before the garden! (I ran out of time for the forest, so it can't unlock) I will check out your game as soon as I can.

Thank you for the comment. You are right, it's very easy to miss, but the NPC says you have to save all the creatures. In the garden you must save all 15 to unlock the next area. There is a cheat though, if you press 0 in an area, the dryad will speed to the exit with every creature haha. I will check out your game as soon as I can!

In that picture, after the Nokia phone was dropped, maybe several meters...I bet it was perfectly fine after that.

Thank you!

Will we be able to update the game page after the deadline (not updating the game itself)?

It's true, I focused more on the things in the list: monsters, mysterious virus, traps, science, find a device to fight evil, etc. I guess it's like Die Hard, it's just set during Christmas, like the first character of the game says. I will add the Christmas decorations if I have the opportunity to polish the game.

You are right! The aliens stay in the pods making it more difficult each round. If they left the pods, then eventually you would have 30 pods on screen and only 3 aliens hiding. Maybe that would be too easy? I'm not sure. Or more aliens could run on screen each round, but maybe then that would be hard to track them.

I was wondering if anyone would find that, good job! Haha I discovered it after the deadline so I couldn't do anything about it

Thanks for checking it out! So you are having problems doing something in the game? At first, you can click the doors, and then the Collect button. Afterwards, you click on the spinning objects. The instructions will tell you what to do every step of the way.

Thank you for checking it out, it actually does have music! Maybe your browser had a problem playing it?

I enjoyed the idea of essentially building the levels to get through them!

I like this idea! The surprising part I like the most is that you cannot jump. So I enjoyed that some columns have to move higher first so you can fall onto something lower.

Actually, it does have music! I suppose your browser didn't play the music perhaps?

I liked the feeling of this one, with great sound effects!

I really like the idea of controlling the time for each obstacle.

I like the surprising 80s/90s feel and using each life to replay actions!

I really enjoyed this idea, and you did a good job implementing it!

I really loved the overall style of this, and the game play design!

Ahh thank you so much, I can't believe I didn't see that

Ahh ok, I think I understand now, thank you! Earlier, the beast says your armor is strong enough to walk on spikes. You do not need the beast near the spikes. As the knight, you can walk across them to jump up to the crystal from the platform.
