Incredible!!! Thanks :)

this is just like me fr 😩

Great feel to it! I like the models and sfx too :)

I love y2k and I love marbles

I really like the vibe with this one :) Super chill, easy to play, easy to get into! If I could drop the pieces faster / instantly, I could play this for a really long time!

Oh and that includes the music too <3

UI/UX is great!! I'm taking notes :)

This is the most creative direction I've see yet!!! Super interesting, props to you guys :)

CUTEEEE!!!!

Oh! I'm also really curious about how you guys implemented the item system. I did something similar and I want to compare notes since I have a tendency to over-engineer everything haha. Plus it'd be cool to see how Unity vs Godot works with that sort of thing. Lmk!

I really like the gameplay loop! At the beginning it was a lot to take in all at once but once I got rolling I was in the zoneeeeee. The each-color-does-its-own-thing angle is really fun too, especially since there's interplay between them.

The only thing I wanted more of was visual feedback from my upgrades! It was a bit hard to tell exactly where the effect was occurring, but that's honestly a pretty small gripe.

Great work y'all :) I had a ton of fun with this one!!

Gameplay? CLASSIC. Vibe?  IMMACULATE.

Loved all of the attention to detail put into the UI/UX, the feel is great :)

I'd love some more food types and some alternative challenges / conditions!! I was getting hungry half way through the second level

My sincerest condolences to anyone who got one-shot on level 7 😔 If you made it that far, you've officially beat the game 💪

There's a bug where enemies spawning sometimes drop their garbage immediately and I couldn't get it fixed by the end of the jam.

wow

I've been making a Puyo-Puyo inspired game on and off for a few months, but there wasn't much done other than the grid / puyo core gameplay. Most of the time was spent learning Unity.  Would I be able to use components from that game in this game jam, or would I need to make absolutely everything from scratch again? I would love to participate but I don't want to go against the spirit of the game jam :)

Thanks!

Hey greenmonocole!

My name is Seth and I'm a software engineer, computer science teacher, and music composer / producer. On the programming side of things, I've made some small games in Unity, although I'm more familiar with full-stack programming since that's what I do at work. We've mainly been using Java / JS / Docker for development but I'm familiar with C++/C# as well, since that's what I learned in college.

In the high school I work at, I teach AP and IB computer science and run the Game Dev club. I help students form teams, work collaboratively, and teach them programming skills. I also help students write music for their games, teach them how to use DAW's (Ableton and FL Studio mostly), and I'll occasionally produce for them.

On the music side of things, I'm a part of several gigging groups as the bassist and guitarist. I write, record, and produce for artists, and am currently working on my first solo album. I've been working as a game composer as well, although production of the game is a bit slower than I'd like. I've been itching to write, create and collaborate with passionate individuals, and your post hit all of those wants :)

I enjoy fast paced games as well, and the music I write reflects that energy. You sound like you have experience with a lot of the things I love and aspire to do so I think it'd be very fun to work together! My Discord is Mr. Smucker#3367. I'll send you a friend request and some samples of music I've been working on :) Looking forward to hearing back from you!
