It's a very pretty game with some room for growth. I like the addition of the Final Fantasy like overworld area along with the ability to explore to some degree. I do however think that you can die arbitrarily without ever really knowing why even after you get the sword. It's also not a very nuanced take on the hero's journey but but it does follow the beats of it through its narrative so that's commendable.

Definitely some interesting subject matter here, and it was very interesting to play. I will say however that I did get hard-stuck near the end multiple times and was unable to continue or go back. other than that though I enjoyed that you used the "more colors" plugin for some more visual variety.

This game is really colorful and hits the theme pretty well with the subversion at the end of having to take the "wrong" path to actually get a good ending. I do have to dock it quite a bit on creativity though as this is just EP1 of the Amazing Digital Circus :|

Really funny game. This is exactly the kind of thing I'd expect from a game with this theme. Once again your humorous writing made this incredibly entertaining. Good job with the addon that was also funny.

Phenomenal use of bitsy. I can in terms of visuals this one is leagues beyond the game from the first jam. I love that you used bitsy as a 2d sidescroller rather than a top down engine, that was really creative. I also didn't expect a boss fight but the introduction of it was handled very well and was quite intriguing. I didn't quite understand the story but it definitly kept me interested and curious as I played. All around solid showing here.

This is a pretty heavy game but it was done well. The nightmare sequences are varied and pretty fun considering the game engine. I just wish there was a bit more variety. Functionally it is sound though there are some feedback issues, particularly the motivation behind collecting the small dots. Creativity wise I like the visuals and the jump between nightmare and reality, that was well done. Theme wise it is pretty close though considering the story context there was opportunity to balance joy, hope, and desperation while balancing the theme with hidden vs visible emotions, though that might be an advanced approach. Anyway, there's more than 1 way to communicate empathy, and it would have been good to see that here. All in all, well done! I encourage you to explore some more interactions and try playing around with sound effects. Finally, some variety in the overworld would have helped as well, some slight visual changes, stuff moving around, etc. Anyway, good.

Solid story, It's straightforward and easy to follow. The aesthetics match the vibe with the fully black and white screens and everything is clear to identify. Kind of missing some real "Gameplay" in this game but otherwise I think this is strong with an interesting ending.

The playing as a cat angle was a pretty cool way to approach empathy. Putting yourself in the shoes of an animal you'd have no other way to really understand. The game also looked very visually satisfying with very identifiable locations. I do wish there was a way to save the cats though :(

Really cool application of the Empathy theme! Literally stepping into other people's shoes with the use of the gem was quite unexpected. I especially enjoyed the "Gamekid" section as it showed bitsy in a way that I hadn't previously thought of. The only issues were that some objects that were meant to be solid could be walked through and that I'm not sure what effect much of my gameplay had on the story.
