One of the more unique entries for this jam! Love the mind boggling 3d effects. Hurts the Gameboy soul a good bit but that's hardly important.

Having to fully commit to an aim to reload feels a bit odd, and when you're too close to the enemy your bullets kinda phase through them. Having an option to gun-whip them when they're too close would be nice.
but other than that this is a really solid entry (metal gear solid...)

I also discovered that you can kick stunned enemies so that's also super cool

If monkey island were made in japan it would definitely have this over Insult Sword Fighting. Charming graphics (love the death animation of the first enemy) and great story exposition with the cutscene.

Solid! The kobold is very cute, the grab mechanic felt a bit unintuitive at first until I noticed the little dot infront of the kobold acts as your cursor thingy. Hard to master as the guy below me mentioned

I genuinely have no idea how your team managed to pull this off in like, 10 days. Genuinely impressive stuff...

Good art, GOLDEN soundtrack(get it?), and fun QTE-based combat. Outstanding submission!

Appreciate the praise on the soundtrack, it was a blast working with Milkman on it. He made the original draft on fl studio and I worked on their revisions (also using fl studio)

expect to hear more from us soon!

Somehow got through the first puzzle on my first try.

Huge zelda vibes, atmospheric soundtrack, a very solid entry!

Doesnt seem to have any ingame sounds or music... besides that, a pretty solid entry. The insults were pretty fun, though I wish the starting insults had some use case. Geatly appreciate the mobile touch controls on browser o7

There are some issues with the gameplay such as pirates being able to damage you even after they die and your attack speed being generally inconsistent.

Having no continues or lives (not to be confused with health) seems rather punishing but the game itself isnt too difficult nor lengthy, so I can excuse that.

The music was pretty good, and the graphics are alright. The cutscene at the beginning was pretty funny too.

Game's rather rng-based. Could either take 10 minutes of continuous trying or a single minute... depending on how lucky you are that day.

I think you should consider taking in more features from your inspiration (upgrades, selling ores, etc. In exchange make the diamonds much rarer), if you ever decide on expanding this into a full game.

Thanks! I'm considering adding a sliding/backflip move for when you hit forward or backward before you fully commit to ducking.

I should also mention that Victor's hurtbox is misplaced in this version... don't worry though, it'll be fixed on the next update!

(a small tip: Victor's kick gives him 0.3 seconds of iframes, use it to your advantage!)

First of all, the game looks gorgeous as hell.
Character design's pretty good too, they're charming.
Doesn't feel very Gameboy-ish to me but that's not always a bad thing.
Gameplay is pretty bog standard but inoffensive, if a mobile build is released I'd love to play more of it. (Or I could wait until the weekend when I'd have more free time)
Got through 2 treasures so far...
