bought this on steam earlier this year! a total sleeper cult classic imo. what stood out the most to me was that it's a really cute looking game, but with an outstanding Trap inspired soundtrack that weaves oddly well with the odd-ball fantasy aesthetic. 10/10! Sound design is also peak. game has a very satisfying ui design, and ui sounds as well! the gameplay was also quite engaging, and kept me on my toes for gear ups when things got tough. but the way the game is structured never made me feel like i was ever stuck, with each new encounter feeling like a little puzzle to solve, which was an amazing game design choice! character customization was phenomenal, you guys nailed the paper doll mechanic perfectly with making the gear affect gameplay, and i like that you can see your character get stronger and cooler over the whole campaign. monster sprites + animations are all clean as hell and have a nice "fairytale storybook come to life" vibe! saw that someone compared the vibe to Paper Mario, but in my own opinion, it didn't give me that vibe at all on first [second or third or ect.] impression, it was very original~ the comedy and whimsical personality shines through as well i might add!

To me, this game does not have nearly enough eyes on it. I shall not let Springblades be forgotten, and i will be singing it's praises to all of my friends and family. :3

also if you guys ever decide to make a sequel, please make an optional co-op campaign, it would be really cool to play this with a friend.

when i make my "top 10 rpgs ive played" yt video, this will deffo be mentioned :3

im still on the guy engine v1 cuz if im gonna be honnest, i was not expecting v2 to arive as quick as it did, so i gave it a whirl for a year. i gotta say, going to move on to v2 for variety sake, but there is something about v1 that feels so... raw? love the ui update for v2, but v1's aesthetic of "y2k sound font library with a sick ui", something about it  just fits my vibe. Has the exact same charm as the ui for MTV MUSIC GENERATOR 2 for the PS2.  :D

[my music is much more inspired by the launch title game from the PS2; Evergrace, and the vibe of v2 is much more PS2 inspired so i think the vibe switch will fit my music making mindset like v1 did] i know that v2 has a lot more tools and toys to get down with as well, but i cant shake the feeling that there is something in v1 that just still feels right i guess. even though you consider it obsolete, i'd say v1 still left its mark on my music this year and has helped me make tons of bangers! kudos to u my friend, thank you for making such a dope product, TWICE! :3

Hi, i had an issue with getting my activation key after purchasing, once i signed into steam to obtain the key, it said "There are no keys available at this time, try again later" can you send me a key please?

Edit: issue fixed, i had a code from the evil pig guy purchase and that worked for all discs!

There were a few times where i broke broke the game by accidentally hopping out of bounds before the triggered events and i got stuck in a spot where it won't let me move anymore ;~; I got the portion of the way through a puzzle and it ruined the run making me re do all of it, just to get a small text bubble at the end of the secret. (at least i think it was the end?) that read "...." and then sent me back to the first area with everything glitched (im sure on purpose, but I didn't know where to go from there or if i was done with that particular secret) but i thought it would end with me finding what lies beyond the games boundaries, but maybe i did something out of sequence? I scrapped the run after that cuz i was truly stumped on weather or not i did things right or if i still had some more steps to do to get the FULL out of bounds experience. to avoid spoilers but to also give a hint to those who know what im talking about, I got the game inverted, then went to the fist area outside of the work building, and jumped over the middle peaks that meet, and a scarecrow man jumped down on the other side, then the game wants you to find the scarecrow and the jump off the hill side out of bounds, the scarecrow man stands in front of a tunnel and i follow him in. i was then transported to a new location, desert looking type of level, where you have to follow the scarecrow through what seems to be an invisible maze, i finish out that part after interacting with an entity in an arm chair *shown in image* it then boots you back to the main hub outside of work, but everything is extra glitchy and some textures are replaced with sand. for those who know, is there anymore to this specific secret or was that the end of said sequence?

u are a god send! <3

not a problem! you made some amazing art and im glad i can still enjoy it through watching others on youtube play it  or just listening to that sweet sweet ost (is there a way to get a hardcopy of the ost?)

I adore this game's sound track, the game is just too big to run on my lil crappy desktop so i've just been zoned out listening to the ost for a while <3

Wow, thank you so much for the response! I just got off work a few hours ago and I decided to play Gun Metal Arcadia Zero for the first time and was really happy to find out that your CRT simulator was implemented as well, such a fun idea and I love trying out different filters, I've already spent 30 mins just playing with sliders! btw, You answered exactly what I was wondering and even a little extra.~ also thank you for sharing your creative process, I'm having a blast playing through your game catalog and enjoying the sound design along the way, and it's really cool to hear that you actually had to overcome the sound chip limitations to make such banger tracks! I'm also solo developing my own project, music and all, at this time, and your games will deffo be a huge inspiration on me as I continue my journey. <3

Dear J. Kyle Pittman, your games are so fun and addictive, they really take me back to a time when I didn't have to worry about anything besides doing my homework for the week so I could play NES all weekend. BUT THE SOUNDTRACK, OH MY LORD! It's such a genius blend of pop punk and midwest emo, blasting off the NES sound chip, never thought i'd see the day where this kind of concept is used in a retro love letter to classic videogames. Was that your intention? Because when I took a look into your music discography I saw that your solo music project is definitely in that same vain of those music styles and I just love that about your projects, they all seem very much a work of love and dedication and I can't wait to explore everything that you create.

Sincerely - SENIPLEX
