Hi All,
I had a pretty rough start trying to get the hang of Strip Lucky so I decided to create a tool for myself that would analyze every possible card placement on the board and calculate the expected value of each move. It shows the option that maximizes your odds in the current moment. After using it for a few days, I thought it would be helpful to share with others, so I cleaned it up in google sheets.
Disclaimer:
This tool does not account for the conditional expected value of hanging onto cards that might be more valuable to play later. All outcomes are probabilistic and aim to maximize odds in the immediate round, and it does not guarantee a win. That said, it seems to be fairly reliable in most cases.
How to use:
1. Open the tool here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1N49S5I19ydriHyIyLIyO8J50DBMYp5hcwy-_Otjm...
2. The sheet is view-only. Save down a copy for your own edits. There are instructions in the sheet for how to edit the cells for your games.
3. The tool will output the move (card and board position) with the highest expected value. This is done by maximizing the probability of flipping an opponent card and minimizing the probability of getting flipped by the opponent.
Enjoy!
