Thanks! Its a shame this had to be cut. But originally I wanted a Persona style "life" section of the game and have the combat happen at the end of the week.  So all the systems would point to this "group" idea.

Thanks for playing the game! After you get a victory, you need the press the continue button at the center of the scene. But its rather finicky. The only way to know if your click will register is if that button highlights. In fact all of the buttons in the build have this issue...

Yes! Good luck to you as-well! Actually, I'll hopefully be able to connect with you after the jam if your available. Some of your portfolio work caught my attention and Id love to get your thoughts on an idea that sprang up.

Ah! looks like you've already found a team. my mistake. Have fun!

That's great! Here is my Discord. (sicky86226)  If you'd preferer to communicated in another way I'd be happy to accomodate.
Once we've got some communications going, I'll set up a project page.

Hi, as mentioned I can handle both programming and composing.  I'm looking for an artist of any specialty able to commit to a two man team.
My goals for the jam are as follows:

  • Define and adhere to feasible scope
  • Implement basic organizational design structure
  • Delineate core responsibilities between ourselves
  • Practice communication and accountability

Id like to apologies first for making it seem so robotic with these goals. However, id really like to develop these team specific skills. If this appeals to you let me know! Id love to develop a working relationship with you.

From my side, here are the last Project(s) I've worked on:

Composition:

Programming:

very nice! I the runs and base on octaves really sells it for me.

ah, this is an awesome battle theme. I really have no complaints!

ah!~ This is wonderful. Your harmonic choices are very nice! I'm biased for piano so Its not a deal breaker for me personally. But if you want something with a bit more balance, id really look at ORAS's Ending theme. In that track the piano maintains three core elements, (Rythm,Harmony,Melody) However it will reduce its prominence in at least one of those areas to spot light one or more of the other instruments.

Wow This one was a blast! I think the composition is amazing. I especially felt the transitions where super fluid. (1:11 was my favorite). In fact the only thing I have to say  is that id wish the song moved just a tad bit "brighter" in sections. The epic and triumphant parts where spot on, the "serious not so serious" bit I was less convinced of. It sounds like BW and BW2 opt to go in to variations of the original PKM theme at point in the song.

If you arnt that hard stuck on being 1 to 1 then its already a bop IMO!

Thanks for the tip, it was the bit rate mismatch that caused it. I've hashed it out and put in a new link.

I really should have asked this before writing my song. but do you consider the GSC versions of the Kanto songs remixes? I had considered some to be sufficiently transformed. Hence why I chose that idea as a core theme...

Hey Nick,
Im not sure if you've run into this or not. but a great reference for the GB era games is a YouTube channel call "Full VGM Deconstructions"
as the names implies they have full channel deconstructions for many tracks.

thought id share that incase you haven't seen it.

Pokémon does have songs that I think fit that darker ambient vibe. Here is quick list that might help you get on track/inspo
Hall of Origin: Pokemon Pearl,Diamond
Deep within Team Galactic HQ: Pokemon Pearl,Diamond
Drought: Pokemon Alpha saphire,Omea Ruby
Deoxys Appears: Pokemon Fire Red, Leaf Green

and I'm sure there are more in any of the later generation games.

Is gathering feedback allowed prior to submission? or is it limited to just to jam participants?
