Outright bugs first. This time around only did a quick check of the Orc on an old save instead of trying to see everything the Paid itch version gets.

Images are lingering behind eachother after a bit it at times. Orc had another image staying visible behind the orc amazon position hitting the submit button for testing. Then again seeing the rimming image with no bugs, only for her to stand back up with that image still behind her. Coulda sworn I saw their disrobe image linger behind her a moment during battle at least once.

... Escape is a diceroll instead of the simple bar timer... With the added insult to injury that the text still says "Time it right to break free". Even with an old level 8 save with over 90% chance in my quick test fights, I was tempted to stop right there before seeing the above bugs.

Wasn't adding the golf swing timer meant to remove RNG in an already deliberate time sink "Throw your exp and gold into a dumpster even if you win for content/unlocks" based game?

I would have almost preferred the H game habit of "Button mashing so painful an autoclicker for sake of aging wrists barely wins, told it can't be changed or game would be too easy when this feedback is given." More so as a quick test to see what the new animations for orc bearhug would be (turned to an on the ground handjob, well a bearhug WOULD be hard in first person...) spammed grabs before remembering normal attacks are a thing.

Sure I had over 90% chance on from my old save left at level 8, but yeah... If this is somehow meant to encourage "But traits give you perma stats! So it will be okay for a fresh save/Not overgrinding before entering a new area to be RNG hell!", those already felt too weak to matter even once you have them against their own area tier.
*casts 60 mana Divine storm mega nuke as level 8 against an orc with all pre garden traits. orc lives. Gosh, my fault for not grinding harder to need to break the 70s damage range on a spell. Shoulda been level 20 with all of Kyoko's traits.*
And the gold you get is so little that "Just grind equipment then!" (which needs you to win) doesn't make up for that. More so with the intent for us to pay tribute to Kyoko.

Did somebody cry failure not being forced was "too casual"? I've seen plenty of games crater over "I only get excited by a guaranteed loss, I'm just so bored when I can actually win!" My pattern recognition of dead games walking is so burnt in by this point this is, again, setting me off when I had a save in a state of "Literally impossible for me to fail this dice roll right now."

Did not check out the other monsters again this time (Did see drinking with an orc that drops $25 on a win, costs $40). Because I am so exhausted by "quadruple down on roguelike = random = time sink. Gotta prove our H game is better than REAL game! *only adds beat your head against the wall RNG or carpal tunnel level mash and/or QTE*"

So that, on TOP of the visual bugtesting going backwards? Which makes still no updated gallery, on top of "See it once, gone forever without new run/old save you hope you didn't overwrite" scenes previously added like the Alchemist stuff hurt even more? ouch.

Hopefully 0.6 is back to quality forward. Instead of "More bugs, More RNG". That or brace myself for "We decided sleeping for free is too casual, it now costs $60 gold for a full night's sleep. Scaling upwards with your level and-"

Well, turns out the error is even stranger. The Itch.io sent email with the september update mega link inside I got? It has the subject tile "july update is here!" with no mention of September. Which is why I swept it up with other 'Just news updates' emails.  "Wait a minute... Why is this under her command july update email dated yesterday *opens email to see it talking about september*... ARE YOU SERIOUS!?"

Will edit my first comment shortly to make it clear "Double check your under her command emails, it might look like a useless july email".   Just leaves the question "Pure Itch automation mistake, or Dev accidentally forgetting to change the subject line for the new build?"

(1 edit)

Strange resolution edit: So, turns out the link email for the september update, had the subject line [itch.io] Under Her Command - Femdom Visual Novel - Under Her Command - July update is here!" Making it blend in with all the other itch news subscription updates.

Double check to see if you have a "July" update email, dated in this september, people.

"Balance feedback by career TCG players" explains the OP's comment. As well as another checkmark for "H games make me want to go back to Sekiro, actual roguelikes, or other 'hardcore' games for easier input timing/grind than a horny game" design habits.
Which in turn, reminds me of how often "Join the discord" ends up reduced to "Please stop putting the gameplay problems (or bugs) in a publicly visible location" and everyone claiming to be surprised by "unforeseen problems" at a rocky launch reception.

So for anyone confused by the sudden name change of the game making it look like they are trying to sell a different game? It is fine, it IS a content update. But seems they were just clumsy about getting that across.

If you want english for the new game Maternal Monsters, Options, 4th down lets you switch to english.

Maternal monsters even lets you run witch succubus inside of it with a teleporter off to the side. "Why is the download smaller then?" because Witch succubus DL is the windows and mac version in a single zip, instead of separate downloads.

(I am getting such "Mother sending an email you know is legit, but did everything in their power to make it look like a scam at a glance" vibes).

This was my first "Welp, time to buy a femboy game" purchase. Good luck with the latest censorship apocalypses.

Sale just kicked in, I already got all three on Itch but I just bought them again on steam. Good luck with all this nonsense, and the release of your next game (if you even had the time to deal with that right now).

Why? Why is it so hard? Why even want age verifications policies across the world when they don't want to let anything needing it sold? "Maybe I should finally get a better card-oh even if I did it doesn't want me to buy things I can't get without it". I can pay a power bill but not a content creator. I want to actually PAY content creators outside of subscriptions! I hope things turn out okay for you and everyone else because yeesh.

Did they even tell you why this game is suddenly suspended after it been around for over a year? You would think if they had a problem with it, it would have come up already.

That is not an explanation, that is a separate issue compared to removing content from people who have ALREADY paid for it on itch. I already bought it on itch, others have already bought it on itch. So no longer providing the gallery code for those who did buy it already, looks bad.

I was optimistic when I saw you still updated the itch page again, that gave the impression you were not planning on people who already paid, paying for it a second time on the patreon store. So hopefully this is just a misunderstanding, and not deliberate.

For the sake of those not keeping backups of older versions. Where is the floor 6.5 gallery code images with new paid itch external link version?

The last external links for buying it on Itch lead to a folder with images for a gallery code. This time it is just a zip with the game and Ver 1.1.1 strategy guide (lists last updated Feb 10 2024), but no gallery code. Replaying every time would be exhausting.

Luckily I had not deleted my older version yet, and still had the code image. That still worked for the "open floor 6.5" chest, but needing to ensure I keep a personal backup of a code that should come with what I paid for already, feels a bit odd.

I guess I might as well ask while I'm talking about outdated files. Was there ever a newer strategy guide made?

Got the new Mushroom and Bee Girl scenes, so looks like I did download the "correct" itch version. I am especially cursed with RNG in all things anyways.

Basic but highly visible single click golf swings also mean no button mashing for my aging hands. Which seems to be a curse alongside "Dodge spam even when unintended". I can track down a bug in a visual novel, be thanked for finding it, and then told "but we can't possible nerf the button mash minigame or it wouldn't be a challenge" as I then blow dust off autohotkey so I can focus on legs crushing my character, instead of button spam crushing my hands. (some games it is so aggressive even autofire cheating can barely clear a mash to escape meter).

Back to lighter notes. Nice that you had the time to add a proper inventory pop up button, so you can double check what your cash and items are before you go to the shop/a fight... and after a fox steals half my wallet.

I am just making a wild guess that of the two identical 0.2 file names to download, it was the one with a slightly larger file size that had more stuff? I can only imagine what is missing in the smaller file size version, when there is still a "Patreon if you want dungeon content" notice.

Also, thanks for the easy golf swing minigame to handle "Losing a bit of exp to instantly level down as soon as the fight starts" sucking all the fun out of level drain. Another reason it is good to be generous, needing a hot minute to realize I had to specifically move my mouse pointer over the very tiny meter for my click to count. I still click on instinct on the first pass, before "Oh right, need to move mouse it onto the meter..."

Hopefully down the line is a "pick who you want to fight" mode (also handy for if boss fights ever happen you want to replay). Because Orc went from "Only enemy five times in a row" kicking my level 1 or "safe forest until level 2" ass, to "Orcs no longer exist?" for quite some time once I WANTED to fight one. My usual cursed RNG luck Coincidence, or by design as they are the only enemy without art for their temptation (bearhug) attack?

Oh right. You might want to explain that 100+ lust is not an "Instant loss" like a lot of games. But seems to be how you trigger what few extra (health defeat variant) scenes there are. And probably add a secondary surrender button, so that you are not in a "level 8 means taking 1 damage even with your armor removed, forever, because you have to defend to not kill the Bee" situation trying to unlock the scene without stopping to throw away several levels with a different scene first.

Well, you made sure to make it a wonderful introduction already at least.

Only a little feedback so far after reaching the first town.

special images go by too fast to really get a look at? Which is good for filler fights, but awkward for the first time you see a new image. Which went from "Well, maybe I am overreacting". To the first time you see someone's full body after the build up of seeing bit by bit zooming past in about a second. "Yeah okay, having to tap M1 or Z to progress past special images wouldn't be that bad actually."

( "Mayor barrel? Mayorrell was right there! Come oooon" )

Emphasis on Sword Dancer art on the shop page, AND made it past the "Did this just get put out and forgotten?" threshold recently? Welp that is five dollars gone.

I just got this after the first save point, and checking to see if it would happen to me... Also the shotgun I picked seems to be gone, and pushing up on the shotgun by the vendor won't get me a new one.

I promised myself I would buy this when it launched, and so I did. (recognized you from a past pin pulling game I bought on DLsite, back before they stopped taking my payment methods.)

You probably didn't change the settings enough and it is defaulting to the same subfolder. (seeing some old femdom kingdom saves listed checking this out today, for example. "Just set it to browser!" vs the reality of lots of browser game makers). Easier to fact check or prevent this stuff when not using browser only versions.  Not the first game maker to make this technical mistake, won't be the last either. Wouldn't be so bad as a 90+ save slot game instead of a 20 slot game, and browser means no casual copy/paste save backups by users to swap between games more readily when this issue happens.
Could be worse! Some people cause this problem with pay2play games. With a free game it is just "oops, well it happens"

This is cool, and you are cool for selling it.

Another amazing story. The improvements in user QoL for replays are also great to see.

What was the 12/08/23 update? Download file still says 2.5, and all I can tell at a glance is a few more files total than the old 2.5.

You did a great job overall, and "A little off" beats some of the "I have physically hurt my wrist because a porn game maker wants mega mashing in their game 'or it would be too easy'" results I have seen. I also have odd luck with bugs devs thought they fixed years ago, so for what little you had being easy fixes and mostly working, that is still very solid results.

Spacebar fix seems wonky when you load a save? Loading an old save it did not work at all, but fresh game start it works perfect. Testing with an early game scene, it works flawlessly with a new game start, but then loading a save after that it is inconsistent for spacebar working or not. Might just be an issue with Renpy itself?

Minigames still feel just as hard on the 4th success in practice mode, though that might be down to needing to use a laptop instead of my desktop keyboard this week.

Finally got the chance to replay to unlock the full gallery and see the canon ending split. It was a great time and I'm looking forward to whatever you make next. (Even if 4 out of 5 is where my sour meter preference tops out). Also always encouraging to see fixes to the strange bugs I have bad luck with.

Minigame Feedback; actually trying to WIN the breast smother minigame, the 4th one is just way too abrupt and fast. I can get the first 3 perfect, then usually fail trying to get the 4th. My success at it was by... randomly mashing the mouse button nonstop. And when button mashing before a minigame even starts is how you are fast enough, that is too fast.

Headscissors: first three success are fine, but 4th success I need to basically stand up and use both hands to turbo mash to clear it. Why do so many porn games have painful button mashing? So, the 4th success seems overtuned again here. (Which makes it kind of funny that the first success can win even if I don't press anything).

General feedback: Replaying the escape sequence in the interrogation room, I have no idea what actually fails it fastest. Which made replaying failure routes a bit awkward.

I also just now realized none of the mingames are for Hannah. Lucky for me I like Jazmine more (For anyone on the fence buying in favor of Hannah. She DOES get extended X-ray scenes just for her in the ending split routes, just no minigames.)

2 Bugs seen so far. Wish you could use spoiler text in comments.

It seems some of the torture scenes have bodies, or parts of them, vanish? So far I have seen two when trying a failure run at first.

1: Failing bodyscissors, you both are missing. Only the X-ray ribs and her legs appear during squeezes then vanish. Art returned to normal after. (Was windowed mode at first, still happened in fullscreen mode).
2: Endgame, not snitching. Guy's face and hand are missing at first, they come back quickly.

Game is great even with those odd quirks so far, and I bought it the second I got the email it was for sale. So hopefully getting back to other, winning minigames runs will go smoother.

Your post gives me flashbacks to so many indie games where even when I stun the boss as part of their intended pattern, they still dodge/I miss. And the dev at best admits "That isn't supposed to happen. I put dodge chance as low as it goes in the engine."

This is cool, and you are cool for making it.
