It deserves it. You all did a great job on this :)

Here's my review of this game, without spoilers!

I'll be reviewing a few components, that being music, art, story, gameplay, and characters, since I believe these to be crucial to any game.

Music

It's pretty good! Each track fits the scene they are used in well, it's a shame it's not on youtube to listen to! Props to the producers!

Art

The reason I downloaded this game. The art is great, I mean it. It perfectly compliments both characters and story, and is just fun to look at overall. Seriously, props to .Rosu, he did a wonderful job. A lot of time was put into making this game beautiful, and it shows.

Story

When it comes to horror, I rarely get scared, so I'm not in the best position to review that aspect of the game. I believe it to be better if you try it and judge for yourself!

Horror aside, the story's great! This is only the first chapter, yet i'm already hooked. I've always been a fan of media with unsolved mysteries, and this game delivers!

There are multiple routes in this game, which are determined by your choices and actions as you play. This system is common for visual novels, and I have to say that this game executes this system really well. Every choice feels like it has an impact on the story.

Gameplay

This game uses the Renpy engine's abilities further than a lot of the VNs I've played. While most of the gameplay resembles the usual VN style (characters on screen, text at the bottom and such), which is perfectly normal and made very enjoyable by the game's art style (seriously, I love this artstyle and will not hesitate to praise it whenever I can), the game also offers some minigames! They are fun, although i'll admit they can get frustrating at times (although, there is an option to skip them on repeat runs, which is great QoL feature).

One specific minigame, the [REFLECTION] stage, is also a source for [traits], which can be used to react differently to situations! Every trait is unique, and really, really well drawn (looking at you, Eloquence & Apathy), again, the art of this game slaps.

Characters

I love Bint. He's really fun.

All characters are done well in the relatively short amount of time you get to see them (again, this is just the first chapter). They are lovable in their own ways, although Bint is (without contest and with all the certainty in the world) the best character.

Overall

This is getting a bit long so i'll cut it here.

This game slaps. The artstyle can and will drag me back to it every day. Bint can bring me back any day he likes, he's the best, he's the sun, he's the star, and all that. Everything works really well together, and i'm pretty amazed by the Renpy engine's cooperation!

I'm definitely looking forward to Chapter 2, for more Bint.

(just for good measure, I'll say it again. The art of this game goes so hard it's insane.)

That's about it. Bye!

- Script :D

It's Leo! if you don't put in a name at the start of a playthrough, that's the name that will be used.

Having the same issue

Ooooo does this update contain the new scenes for the Klaus route?

I just finished this. This is amazing. I don't usually enjoy visual novels, but this one was different! Can't wait for the full version!

great game! But how exactly do you get settlers?

good game

but you should make the people coming in the "office" random.

Also the game is very frustrating.

But otherwise good game

This is a good game!

I just think you should make the walking a bit more fast.
