Rainbow Tower Defense: A New Paradigm Where Towers Don't Attack

Traditional tower defense games are all about building turrets, firing projectiles, and scaling stats. Rainbow Tower Defense flips that setup entirely. Here, the towers themselves don't deal damage. Instead, the energy lines you draw between them become your main weapon and frontline defense. It’s not just a change in visual attack style—it fundamentally transforms how you view the battlefield and frame your strategy.

Towers Are Just Anchors; Draw Lines to Block the Enemy

Towers function purely as non-attacking anchors across the map. By connecting tower to tower, you generate an offensive energy network directly cutting across enemy routes, giving you real-time battlefield control to sever and reconnect lines as the situation demands.

Color Matching, Color Mixing, and Color-Specific 'Tech' System

To defeat incoming monsters, your lines must match or closely resemble their color. But simple color matching is only the beginning—mixing colors brings incredible depth to your strategy. Connecting towers of different colors creates hybrid-colored lines, constantly shifting your optimal choices as waves progress.

On top of that, players utilize a Tech system featuring over ten distinct skills—such as Confusion, AoE attacks, and Stun—that map directly to specific colors. How you combine these Tech lines with different color blends completely alters your strategic direction, requiring real-time adaptations to line connections, color choices, and tower placements as monster traits evolve.

Deep Strategic Depth Behind Intuitive Rules

While drawing lines, matching colors, and activating Tech feel intuitive and simple to grasp, finding the optimal combination for any given wave demands sharp tactical thinking. Moving away from static defense games focused on upgrading raw turret stats, victory depends on the network you construct—what colors you draw, which Tech you pair with them, and how you weave your lines across the entire map.
