Overall the game isn’t bad, the concept is fun and the in game world is well designed. The shops, the buildings, the NPCs, even the menu were well made. From a beginners perspective, it was clear to understand and I quickly got the gists of the controls. The story was quite engaging as well, even though there wasn’t much context involved. I also appreciated how you had multiple choices to choose from when speaking to a NPC. One thing I particularly liked was the UI and inventory system as it was very polished and simple to understand. However, what drags the game down is the lack of polishing put into the game. When I played through the game I encountered some bugs and features that would interfere with the overall flow of gameplay, such as dialogue blocks constantly popping up and locked doors with no collision. As well, I felt like the pacing was a bit off. Since there’s multiple ways to go from the start, it’s pretty difficult to know where to go at what stage of the game. This usually leads to many avoidable encounters with enemies, as you can’t run away as they’ll chase you till you die. You just had to hope you had strong enough armour, potions and weapons to survive. Speaking of which, items are very scarce.

Compared to other games, the gist is pretty similar to those such as RuneScape and Skyrim, however what it does differently is the lego like style and art, which separates it from other games. The money, models, and more are all themed around lego, which makes the world feel unique.

Overall, while the game was tough and some features were broken and all, I still enjoyed the game. Excited to see what you plan on making next!
