Hi there! I'm so sorry you had a bad experience playing this game. I do agree that the game jam build is a bit too graphically intensive, mainly due to the fact I didn't have much time to do optimization before the submission was made.
All of the issues you mentioned; difficult AI, collision issues and poor controls should be fixed in the next version of the game which will be released later today at around 6pm BST!
I hope you'll stick around for the full game, in which I'll keep low-end hardware in mind and will do my utmost to make sure anybody and everybody will play it :)

After the game jam is over, I'll be releasing a patch that makes the cats handling a little easier for keyboard users! I should also remove the handbrake as it makes turning harder rather than easier, as the cats will start drifting automatically!

I'll definitely give the performance a look at - have you tried switching the quality settings in the Settings menu?
Controls have always been an issue, especially when using keyboard.. so i'll keep improving!
With the map, were you getting lost too much? Should I add more directions?

Howdy!Sorry for the delay!

I caught the flu earlier this month and haven’t been able to work on Lady Ice for about a week! Still hoping for a December release!

Well done !!! From my knowledge only a few youtubers have completed it (can't speak for other players who don't post their progress online) but it's still a brilliant thing! Congrats! Those extra features are just some quick silly things I threw in at the end of development. Hoping to have similar things in the Redux version! :)

It’s not too long, I think maybe just over 5 minutes?

Well I've remade the entire game from scratch so there won't be any bugs from the original game, but I'm hoping to find and fix all of the issues that are in it right now (that's why it's taking so long to make haha) but don't worry, I'll be supporting the game for a while after it's released so I will release new builds which contain bug fixes and extra features!

The original is badly designed so it's kinda difficult haha but here's a brief guide for the original Lady Ice: 
I would recommend circling the room while Lady Ice's spell is active and if you hear her running, make sure to always move away from her! You have to survive until the storm passes which is about three spells I think?

I will definitely make a guide for Lady Ice: REDUX! But only when I've finished making it ;)

I'll do my best! I originally thought this game wouldn't take long to remake, but it's grown a lot since then! When it releases, I hope you'll agree that it improves on the mechanics of the previous game and will give you a satisfying story behind Lady Ice.

That sounds amazing! Personally I'd leave combat out of it entirely to increase the helplessness and fear of getting caught, as it's always scary being hunted by things you cannot harm or kill. You could have it so the students need to work together through the use of stealth and distractions (the jock distracts the creature while the nerds sneak on by)!

Thanks for the feedback, mate! I understand that this concept isn't new and is really overused. I only had 48 hours to initially develop this game and thought this mechanic would be quick and easy to implement (which it was!) but I agree it's really difficult to make it unique due to its overuse haha

Hey man, thanks for playing! The first build was created in 48 hours for a game jam, but I've updated it since with bug fixes and gameplay changes. 

Now that you've mentioned it, I'll definitely take a look. I was going to work on some fixes for other issues too so I'll try to have a new build out within the next week or so.
