Update's here, the creator is traveling in a different country with his family rn so he's busy.
This seems like a common bug on mobile/tablet, last time the game had an ingame keyboard to fix it but a lot of players still reported the same issue.

I LOVEE the game, I am able to make characters from my favorite medias. the game isn't perfect, but it's extremely charming. I do wish we could slightly tweak their personalities. ^_^ (I'm also confused on how to make them regain faith)
