Really enjoyed this game and I would love to play more! The escalating difficulty felt right, and it took me a couple runs to get in the swing of things, but I think that's normal/good.

I'd love to see voice acting added to the game! Because there's a timer I'm too busy looking at the food and/or menu to read what the characters are saying, and I think it's very funny dialogue when I do glance up (plus there seems to be enough story going on that it's narratively relevant). Then again talking might also distract some people, so perhaps a toggle would be useful.

The only other thing is I had an issue figuring out the moldy ingredients. The instructions say to "remove" moldy ingredients, so I put them from the plate onto the table. But serving that resulted in failure from having an incorrect dish (since it was missing an ingredient). Then there were some moldy mushrooms, so I flagged all three mushrooms, and got an angry note from the kitchen about excessive flagging.

Also LOVED that I was able to click through dialogue real fast when replaying!

Absolutely loved this game! I didn't get very far, but I was just grinning the whole time! What a delight!

Like some others have said, the spacebar to start wasn't something I immediately noticed, but I must have just been keymashing enough that I hit it anyway. I think making it just a rectangle rather than an oval shape would make it read more spacebar and less UI.

Didn't get far enough to figure out what was going on with the paddle looking UI thing on the right that was making a shape. I thiiiink it was going to eventually make a full shape upon winning or getting far enough? But I wasn't too worried about it cause the experience was so fun!

Loved the sound effects and the music ramping up :D Wonderful little game!

Cute lil game, short as others have said, but I found it very intuitive! The only part I wasn't 100% sure on was to go back to the ship once I got all the gears, and even then I was like 90% sure. And, like you commented on our game, this is a great attempt for a group that's new to game design, looks like you learned a lot, and keep it up! Can't wait to see your next project!

Thanks for playing, and recording it! It was great to see another persons real time experience with it. I do think you're totally right about the "difficulty scaling" so to speak, with the too-easy beginning and impossible end.

We were hoping to add some additional mechanics, where maybe you could buy a bigger bed, or buy cat beds having certain cat combos/interactions (which I think you mentioned in the video!) etc. that was where the mice were supposed to come in: as a scoring/currency. Alas we didn't get to it!

Thanks so much for playing and for the thoughtful feedback! Glad you enjoyed!

Glad you thought it was cute! Definitely inspired by real world cat experiences lol

Oh that's weird! I think right click is also supposed to rotate the cats. Something to look into I guess!

Thanks for playing and for the feedback!

Thanks! It was definitely heavily inspired by our cat who demands bedtime snuggles before we can sleep. There's no win state unfortunately, the only end is the the end screen with the old lady drinking coffee.

We were hoping to add some more mechanics, including maybe being able to get cat beds, or enlarge the bed somehow like you say, but didn't have time to get fancy :P

Thanks for the idea and for playing!

Thanks so much! Yeah we're pretty new, I was very excited to find this jam/youtube channel with such an active and passionate community.

Thanks for playing!

Hahaha! Glad you enjoyed it! Just got word from a friend that their 2 year old was VERY upset by the waking granny :'D So you're definitely not alone! Thanks for playing!

Thanks so much! Yeah it was definitely heavily inspired by one of our cats who MUST put her face on your face at bedtime before we can sleep :P

Yeah, unfortunately we didn't have time to add any mechanics that would allow for a forever run (something like powerups or whatnot) for the jam, cause i do feel like it's a bit of a bummer to have a game force you to fail. Maybe we could have added a "you win if you perfectly fill all the squares"...hmm

Either way, thanks for playing! (And sorry for the super late reply, caught a cold right after the jam ended)

So great of the community to come together like this! And such a huge variety of stuff, there's truly something for everyone!
