Really fast CPU with an assembler and Snake. I was working on it for over 50 hours total and made it easy to write new programs for.
You can download it here: https://github.com/Sava-thecoolone/BETTER-CPU

yeah, i just don't think making a whole text selection thing would be worth the effort, but i'll try at some point

type 'help'

fixed! (i have no idea how i didn't notice that)

you can use arrow up/down to copy previous commands btw

bruh, this game is buggy as heck

yeah, it's just really annoying

i know, but the paddle is aligned to the left edge, that's not how paddles should work

it gets stuck on "press any key to join", i'm pressing every key on the keyboard and it doesn't work

this game is literally spacebar spam lol
cool concept though

P.S. no pixels :(

doesn't work :(

where are the pixels? Also, it's not fast at all, and the paddle is not centered! How do you even mess this up?!

damn, that's sad :(
it's tic-80 fault though, i can't do anything about it

just fixed the bug btw

ah, i thought it could contain floats, that makes sense

Huh, that's a weird bug. Never happened to me, i would've fixed it if i knew what the issue was

Pretty cool concept, though i didn't really like it's execution, except for maybe art and sounds. Also, there's no tutorial so i had no idea what the heck i was doing at first. There're also a lot of bugs

Thanks for playing!
I do think that i should've improved the tutorial, but i just didn't have enough time. I would definitely update the game if it would have enough attention.
Currently, the pool of items (or, at least, weapons) is not expandable without adjustments to the UI. It would take some effort to make the UI and the sprite table (TIC-80 problems) work for a pool larger than 15 tiles on each category. I thought it would be enough for now but in the future it would definitely need a rework.

Also, if i would update the game, i would probably rewrite the whole game to Love2D instead of TIC-80

Thanks for playing! The fact that you can only buy 1 or 0 upgrades per wave is actually intentional, you have to save money to buy expensive upgrades

Thanks for playing! I will consider these ideas in the future, but right now i would rather join other jams.

Oh, about side guns, they are pretty good because most enemies can only shoot you it you're right in front of them, so side guns allow to shoot enemies with them unable to shoot you back. I played with them a bit and i'm way more comfortable with them instead of the normal forward gun. Grace period, more splitters and differently colored bullets are definitely good ideas though

Thanks for playing! I know that the tutorial can feel a bit long, but i wanted to explain everything and there's only so much i can do to not make it take 30 minutes to read. That said, i might make a separate controls menu in the future to make it be a bit easier to understand

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, i thought about the rule revisiting thing but i thought it would be unnecessary since you would probably die anyway, and the tutorial refreshes when you do. I did not think about changing the wave, i could've done that too

bruh, this game is too small

I enjoyed this way more than i expected, great job!

wow, really good!

Wow, this game is very good! And the music fits the atmosphere so well! Good job!

pretty good game, really fun!

any

pretty interesting, though very short

Thanks! Yeah, i noticed that the supply of coal and emeralds is a bit small, i'll update it in the future

P.S.: that is actually not the final upgrade so the supply definitely has to increase

Thanks!

Thanks!

Cool game, one thing is - my screen is 240 hz and i have to limit my refresh rate to 60 hz to play it normally, you should probably limit updates to 60/s

yep, i rated almost all games too!

Thanks for playing!

Thanks for the feedback! I think the music would be good, i just don't know how to make it in tic80 (the game's engine)

Thanks for the feedback! I would update the further sections

Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for playing! I will definitely update the game some more
