Very promising! Same here, at first time couldn't go further than the medicine task, button wouldn't answer. Then I tried again and sometimes the button wouldn't answer correctly. As far as I went, the art is very cute and the concept, too. Looking forward to replay it again with the polished version :)
I really like the concept but I had a hard time finding the right anomaly. Maybe if you shorten the list it would be more enjoyable. The game is aligned with the theme of the jam and beautifully linked. I love the dollhouse art, it's cute but it's creepy, there are mysteries hidden through those walls, you can feel it and it hooks you.
Another thought: I think it would be more readable if the phone was bigger and so the controls in it. Also, missing some background tunes to keep the mystery! Overall, good game ^.^
I really liked the idea. I missed more interaction with the detective! Even a face reveal! Now I'm intrigued. Good job on creating the mysterious mood. I wished I saw more "small things" in the game, not just fashion accessories but small things and details that could incriminate her such as little lies in the dialogue with him, maybe a weapon also with blood... Just a thought. :)
This is truly emotive. The image you evoke talking about life while fishing is just breathtaking. I was hooked from the very first moment, although the fishing mecanics made me a bit nervous and I had a hard time trying to get the fish and paying attention to the dialogue. I think dialogue here is essential, it completes the atmosphere and gives meaning to what you're doing. I suggest you give dialogue more priority and importance, and maybe pause dialogue while we're in the fishing task, so we can fully enjoy the nostalgia and love dialogue is creating. I would also love to see which type of fish I have fished ^.^ and how many you need to end the minigame! I felt, too, the final was so abrupt.
Btw music is fascinating and every tiny art detail is great; fishing moving around and the spring breeze atmosphera. Great job. Looking forward to see more!
Thanks for your thoughtful comment! It really helps us in improving our game. As for the assets, there were some handmade like the trunk trees, and the others were made digitally mixing up different techniques. We have also used already made assets (all referenced in the page intro) but we have transformed them by painting over them or by changing textures and sizes. As for the characters and animals, they have been all digitally drawn.
Thanks for playing and taking the time for feedback. :3
