While many responses already debunked the accusations, Ardolf's reputation is still damaged due to people not reading the full story.
I'm actually very glad that my audience is intelligent enough to read, and that I didn't suffer more than needed (though what I consider "needed" is of course biased). Most people reacted positively to my document and noted that I didn't repeat anything awful, while the same cannot be said for the accuser.
The rainclouds are dispersing. I personally hope all goes well for Ardolf too.
You're on the right train of thought to see that the options are not particularly fruitful.
I think that your reference to Ran complimenting you for "doing well" is a line when you first talk with Zalthorion, not this second encounter.
I will vaguely answer this to make you feel a bit better though - Rangativurk is also seeing how the Guildmaster is answering as you question, so do what feels reasonable in the situation. :)
You can disable the interruptions in advanced preferences!
We implemented the interruption effect because our design expected viewers to focus often on the line (hence why we've also added pauses to stimulate natural speech patterns).
Ah yes, I will fix that in the next patch (clicking is supposed to just do nothing). For non-mobile versions, hovering on the text should still give you the info.
There will be eventually big decisions that you'll have to make that changes the ending, but right now the game should note what attitude you've shown to Ran, likely for some intimate scenes in the future.
It is very rare, but we got poor reviews thinking that the lexicon is an inadequate way to convey info even when it is optional read, and that is not very rewarding.
Unfortunately, tangentially related things like towns or the armies probably won't be mentioned in the plot until needed.
We need talented individual(s) to translate the script, and then a fluent reader to confirm its quality, and our project is currently too small to reliably make that work.

MC/"You": It is intentional that we avoided describing the MC's appearance (except from "young wolf") because we wanted it to be your character. The script does not assume your features so that it can apply to most players. We also keep track of the options you've taken, such that the future script might get to guess what personality 'you' have.
Route and story: There is no route with other characters. You follow one plot with occasional options for things. There will be multiple endings.
