The visually pleasing experience really stood out — I like how well the 2D pixel art works together with the simple 3D models. I had a really hard time with the controls, and most of the time I had to guess whether I was giving the correct input for my action, so it would be good to make them more responsive in the future.

Regarding the gameplay, I’m really glad that the defense mechanic actually works, because on Igor’s stream I thought it was just a mockup. I think the game needs more possible actions, because right now it feels very limited: underground it’s mostly just mining, and above ground it’s one floor for defense and one floor for the tavern.

Maybe adding the possibility to create custom tower shapes and allowing them to collapse would be an interesting design choice. The underground area could also have tunnel collapses caused by poor expansion tactics or random events. 🙂

Love the visuals, but my favorites are definitely the enemies and the key. Regarding the gameplay, I fell in love with the temperature system at first sight, and I think that small debuffs might work better than directly losing HP. Other than that, there were a lot of HP boxes but very few ammo boxes — after I shot a whole magazine at an enemy, I basically found two keys faster than ammo.

It’s hard for me to give fully honest advice because the scope was quite big, especially for a game jam. Maybe adding delivery/courier-style missions or a “find a package and return it” mechanic would be a good change for the game. Something like gathering resources and earning a rank — if it’s too cold or too hot, the delivery takes some damage. This would also make the game more replayable and longer. At the end i need to mention that sound design was cool and really made me engaged in this simple game 😄.

Love the implementation of walking on a sphere, because it feels like the main mechanic of the game. I would also love to see some camera movement to make it even more trippy and satisfying — for example, zooming in and out when changing the character’s velocity. The first thing I’d like to see in an upgraded version would be faster enemy bullets and dash abilities, which would make the sphere movement even more fascinating. Love the cozy music <3.

Gorgeous visuals and a great idea with keeping the player constantly scrolling up and down to manage workers and tasks. The gameplay mechanics are creative and kept me engaged for the whole run. My main issue is that there is no limit to how many tasks workers can manage — you can select the whole map to dig. I think it would be even more fun if you had to choose paths more often. I also recommend setting up a proper UI at the start. I struggled a bit with UI scaling as well. 😄

Really love the art style of the game. Regarding the gameplay, I think adding obstacles would be a good idea to make the game even more movement-dependent. As for the enemies, I feel like their bullets are too fast or too spammy, because it’s hard to dodge them in any other way than just luring/training the enemies. I also think that making the plane more responsive would make the game more skill-dependent. I would love to play an upgraded version. 🙂
