The topics of conversation are chosen randomly, and each topic is tied to a skill, and if you have no skills it'd choose generic pop topic. It's frustrating when RNG chooses an option no one is in favor of, for sure. The best way I've seen it being handled, and it's a mod, is when player is given a direct choice of the topic, like you said. More topics appear the more skills you have, and you remember which topic was liked or disliked by the given character, and with high Charisma you can sort of guess right away which topics will interest them.
If this is implemented, I'm wondering how the dev will go about it. There is a body hair level function, but it's kind of funky, you can have characters with low hair levels but wild pubes, which should be enough, right? Or vice versa, shaved smooth but hairy in other places. Also, your character isn't omniscient, you have to have seen a person's crotch to know they have hair down there. Personally, I think it should be a mix, disqualifying people who have any smooth, shaved, or trimmed body parts, including the crotch if you've seen it, and possibly a certain minimal amount of body hair level.
By default saves are stored in your browser's cache, and if you're opening the html file from another location or it has a different name, it won't point to your old saves. Keep your game html in the same spot every time and make hard saves when updating, then you're golden.
That's very doable, similar to how bad hygiene alters interaction effectiveness. Store favorite types in the person's data somewhere and apply bonuses when you match the type, I guess.
Although attractiveness as a stat doesn't really exist, it's all subjective to an NPC's personal turnons/turnoffs, and they can only have 2 of each (so it can go from -2 to 2 at the moment). It can definitely use some expansion later down the line, maybe even a separate system for tiny things like that where you can pick a lot of them, but they're not as strong.
After 28 days you're supposed to be able to mend your relationship again. Not sure how well it's implemented, seems to be one of those fringe things barely anyone gets to play out.
True, it could serve as a placeholder. I didn't even mention the biological side of things because that's another can of worms. I'm also concerned about the transgender aspect, are trans women really women? Can they conceive or are they sterile? It can be a very divisive topic since the game took the inclusive approach, so it remains to be seen how the author wants to handle it.
I see a lot of people talking about the pregnancy content and it always makes me kind of chuckle. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for it, but it seems to be in the realms of a very distant future, like years later, seeing as the game is still in the early alpha stage. Let's see the basics of what has to be done for it to work for a moment, shall we?
Parents will need to be fleshed out first, because they'll need to be involved, as well as the campus principal. The clinic content will definitely be expanded, with various tests and counseling. Many accommodations will need to be made for the pregnant student, such as excused absences, extended deadlines for assignments, paid time off from work, online courses/tutoring and reduced workload, and so on.
Overall, the campus needs to be overhauled to support pregnant students as a whole. Then there's the issue of additional housing, maybe a different dorm room and such, financial aid from the university, and maybe local support groups or organizations. A new location for childcare support may need to be added, either on campus or in the town.
I'm not even talking about all the event expansions that professors, advisors, and fellow students will need in order to respond to the player character's pregnancy. And then there's the issue of implementing NPC pregnancy content. It's a lot to deal with, for sure.
I imagine there will have to be certain penalties, like extra education programs and disciplinary actions if you're irresponsible and don't take care of your child enough, or if you get pregnant or get someone pregnant a little too often.
It could also become a monkey paw wish in a way if it's rushed, with a simple event stating that your parents took the child and that you have to pay more to support them, lol.
Personally I go to dezgo (xl lightning or default xl) and just generate the portrait based on a character's basic description when I want to see what they look like, it generally handles most accessories and details well.
As for the in-game option... Yeah, I don't see that happening any time soon. If we look at the parallels, DoL always had an image system in mind, so it was designed to support it from the beginning, and even then it only handles the player character. FreeCities (specifically its PregMod branch) has various generators for creating full body representation for characters, but I imagine it's very complicated to port over with the necessary changes.
The best we can get is an option to add character portraits ourselves or something.
This is due to your PC's reservations. It's not very well explained, but by default you're very reluctant to go all the way to the home run unless your Disinhibition is at least lv3.
It's one of those "unmarked" quest lines that's hard to find and complicated to get right unless you check the source code. In the end, it makes your roommate and roommate partner freely interactable/fuckable.
First, after 90 days have passed and you have seen most of the events with them, and you have no pending dare, and you have not canceled dares, you will see your roommate masturbate when you randomly enter your room; this only happens Monday through Thursday, mostly at 6pm, going in later will probably interfere with other activities the roommate is doing.
Then, if the masturbation event was relatively recent, during Friday-Sunday, their partner will come in (same requirements) to ask if they didn't break their dare, and you tell the partner that the roommate did, so you get a choice of either being serviced by the roommate (for dom route) or servicing the partner (for sub route).
Then finally two weeks later after you caught the roommate masturbating, the partner will be back in your dorm to make it official, depending on which route you took.
