That way, the progression of the pregnancy would feel smoother and... well, I don't know quite how to put it, but I think it would look better—at least, that's how it seems to me.

I think I get it now. The game just doesn't always respond to "Enter." There aren't any bugs—it just doesn't react immediately, and some people are used to cutscenes ending on their own; that's all there is to it.
