Don’t get wrong it plays nicely on mobile, so good job with that especially as you don’t use a smartphone. Here is the text overlap:

Well done with the atmosphere in this. I could literally feel a sense of dread walking through the hall and opening each door. It kind of feels like the red door into the further from the Insidious movies.

I do think you could work on the interface a bit on mobile. At the moment the on screen text is overlapping with the on screen movement controls.

Very well done on this. The movement feels fluid and I love rhe art style.

I am excited to play this. I tried on my mobile but I guess it’s not completely mobile friendly? I’ll try on pc later if I get time because an idle CIV, like game is very appealing to me buddy.

A text based adventure game is deceptively hard to make I’d imagine so yeah, hats off to you.

Simple and intuitive game. It’s quite addictive. Nice work on the background too. It might be cool to add some background music to go along with the sound effects.

I ended up stacking what looked to be a huge burger towards the end of my play haha.

No problem and best of luck in the jam 👍🏻

This wouldn’t normally be my sort of genre but you have put a lot of thought into this and the gameplay is engrossing. Some visual enhancements would take it to the next level but nice work!

Really enjoyed this. Works well on mobile too. One very minor visual quirk I noticed on mobile is that the seed count seems cut off slightly but seriously, nice work.

Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it 🙂

No I’m not. Curious why do you ask?

Good luck to You too.

This is really fun. I love the futuristic, space vibe approach of tower defence you have here. It's quite unforgiving to begin with but feel with practice I could get more efficient, being mindful to upgrade my towers etc. Great work!

The game looks great. On mobile however I can’t move the player upon starting a game and get killed straight away. I am using an Iphone 16.

I’m digging this. I love the oldy worldly vibe to it too. I did notice a minor performance lag once I get a hit but it’s minor.

Thank you. Yes even though I created it, I must confess I wouldn’t necessarily play a noir game either but I thought for this game it would be ideal haha.

Ahh thanks

I’m assuming that was firefox on PC? I just tried Firefox on mobile and it worked fine there. Will double check firefox on pc but seemed ok last time I checked. Is your Firefox got any additional plug ins on etc?

thanks. Yes the riders that aren’t battle participants was actually deliberate on my part to add a bit of challenge like are they or aren’t they enemies but I can see how that could be a love or hate mechanic.

Fun, tightly scoped game

Like I said on your actual game page. Really enjoy this.

Yeah sorted Arcade start line now.

Ok, Arcade start line has been optimised now.

Going to fix the getting knocked off at arcade start line. I was 50 50 about that because part of me thought, ha lets leave it in because it’s carnage straight away lol but I can see how that would be irritating.

Going to fix the getting hit at start of Arcade. At first I was kind of like shall I leave that in because if you start punching right before eace begins, you can avoid it but yes going to fix that.

I enjoyed the music and it adds to the fun of the game

Don’t get me wrong I did get some kills as I kept playing. I can see you out a lot of time into it and added online multiplayer too. Great work.

I really like this. Nice work on the visuals and atmosphere of the game. It’s got that 80’s arcade style going on.

It was a challenge getting a shot on the AI opponent at times even on easy but maybe I just need more practice haha.

I really like this. Really easy to understand what to do right away. Works well on mobile. Nice work.

I really like this. The visuals and atmosphere of the game are on point.

I did find it slightly jarring when the camera flips quite sharply when going into reverse. As it’s 3rd person, is there any need for the camera to flip at all when going into reverse?

Great job.

Nice, addictive game. Tilt did not work for me on my Iphone but the on screen controls were perfectly fine.

Always good to see a fellow rosebuddy in here :). I go by the name Polgray on Rosebud. I enjoyed this game when I first played it and like it even more since you added mobile controls.

Thank you.

i love this. It’s good old fashioned Quake- like gameplay but top-down. Performance is good too. Text can be hard to read on mobile however.

Thank you so much. I have joined the Jam. Excited to take part.

Thanks for playing sir. Glad you had fun. Will look into the framerate issue you had. Tell me was it on mobile or PC and was it doing anything in particular in game such a picking up an item? If you can recall of course.

hmm it’s in my plan to drive from the wall onto the ceiling snd through a maze of ceiling beams. But yes think I might be able to expand the idea further.

(1 edit)

i recently fixed an issue where the camera would go behind the wall if reversed up against it. However it’s a little over sensitive now at times in that it zooms down to the car even when not that close to it. Hmm.

It could actually be that the transparency at times has gone away now that camera zooms into car when colliding with a wall to stop clipping. So that’s the difference you may have noticed now.

Thank you. Yes and may even expand the Crazy Taxi inspiration into a spin off game around the house at some point.

Did you play on PC or mobile out of interest? Just wondering where you think I could tighten up the controls? It’s all useful feedback 🙂.

Very impressed with this. Great job. It’s a unique take on the Artillery game genre. It’s challenging, I will say that about it but artillery games often are.
