I got to say this was an absolute banger.
The old Resident Evil feel that this game gave was unmistakable. Great use of fixed camera angles and inventory. Amazing graphics and the journal type dialogue helped with the story. I still overall preferred the second DEATHTROOPERS game, but this was a pleasure to play. Anyone saying that this wasn't good or fell short doesn't appreciate the roots of horror games. I really hope that this trend continues and you come out with more.

This game was absolutely phenomenal. After playing all 3 of the DEATHROOPER games I can say that this one is my favorite, almost tied with the third.
The story on this one was great; the ending wasn't what I expected at all, but I am far from complaining. The gameplay was very smooth; hitboxes greatly improved from the last game. The only things I was able to gripe about was not being able to shoot from one room to another and going from one loaded area to another it got rid of my ammo and weapon. In survival/ horror games I always play to not use resources unless I absolutely have to. Running around the enemies, luring them away from things I needed by kiting them is my go-to and it landed me way more ammo than I needed.
I was excited to see the scout trooper armor and was hoping to be one, but you can't always get what you want. All in all, amazing game.

This was an absolutely pain to start playing. I couldn't unzip the file at first which is aggrvating. I ended up getting my wife to help me. She went and downloaded an app called WinRAR and unzipped it with that which worked. Finally able to play I wasn't disappointed. From my understanding it is just one dude making the game so that does affect my review.
The opening sequence was very clean. The size scaling was very off from the ship to ship. the voiceover sounded text to speech, which is a little disappointing. However, that's where my complaints ceased. Clean graphics, the ambiance in the ship and the movement was captivating. I have read the books countless times at this point and the game captured the horror of the books. Now it is just some corridors, but they are perfect.
Some snags I found is that the aiming doesn't exactly line up, the hit boxes are janky, the enemies get easily caught on the doors and the timer doesn't count down correctly. But these aren't completely game breaking.
Now some Improvements I can see making is a feature that shows the level of heat your blaster has, health kits and objectives along with some dialogue from the stormtrooper. Is he freaking out or is he a cold and quiet professional. Why was he there? Why is he alone? and lastly the zombie's iconic scream from the audiobook.
Can't wait to play the second game. Very solid and a breath of fresh air. Please do more, I will watch your career with great interest.
