Thank you! Yeah we totally had a "oh dang" moment when we replaced the single placeholder sound effect with multiple per tile type and treasure type. Honestly I think "polish" is like 50% sound design haha.

Thank you for playing. <3

Yeahhh I'm with you, the movement feels a little clunky and could definitely use some tightening up. So hard to prioritize things in a game jam and have to just say "well it's good enough" haha.

Thanks for playing, and thanks for the kind words! :)

Amazing, thank you for the detailed feedback! Much appreciated. <3

We've heard from a bunch of people that the dig is a little unintuitive. We considered a dedicated dig button instead of movement based, perhaps that would help with the jarring feeling of digging/moving horizontal. I think we could tighten up the movement in general, the animations sort of give it a lag that doesn't feel great.

Good to know that the route planning was compelling. I think we envisioned that playing out over the course of the multiple days, and the minimap is there to help remind you of where you've gone and think "oh yeah that long tunnel into that big cave, I saw treasure in the ceiling there" and go back with a power-up the next day. Interesting thought about re-playing a day instead though, could be fun!

The way the tile distance shaders and the lighting in the caves works is, honestly, super busted. We tried a bunch of things and just didn't have time to really test all of our ideas and find the best one. I totally agree that the visibility needs a major overhaul.

The ladder mechanics were finished at the 11th hour and got almost no balancing, it's absolutely the clunkiest part of the game, apart from the distance shaders. Climbing claws or some sort of jump could have accomplished a similar thing, but you know how it is, running out of time in a game jam haha.

Thanks again for playing. :)

Oh dang our games are siblings! Kind of Terraria and Starbound or something, haha. Definitely going to try it out next :)

Thanks for playing <3

Thanks for playing! I'm glad the decision making tension came through, I expected a lot of players to just kinda bomb through things hehe.

We've heard the feedback about accidental digging a couple of times so it sounds like it's pretty annoying. We originally designed a few other possible ways of triggering digs (pressing spacebar, or double tapping the block) that might have worked better.

Thank youuuuu! :D Such kind words. I'm glad the cozy vibe came through, in the first design we had a timer but we all felt it was too much stress and settled on the number of digs being your countdown instead. Getting to take your time and look around felt WAY better.

And yessss that's exactly what I was hoping for re: remembering you saw something interesting, buying power-ups that night, and going back to it the next morning to explore. :)

So kind :) Thank you so much!

Thank youuu! The sound effects really did wonders for the polished feel. We had a place holder sound for most of development, so when we finally replaced it with individual sounds per block and per treasure type we all were like "...whoa, that makes a HUGE difference!" Lesson learned for me is don't ever skimp on sound design! haha

Thanks for playing :) Dog friend is best friend for sure

Appreciate it! Thank you for playing <3 First I'm hearing about this other hole digging game, looks interesting!

Thank you! :D

There's a power-up in the shop called the Thrilling Ladder. It's a little buggy and not well balanced since it went in last minute, but it lets you build upward so you can return to areas you've missed. The level design tries to encourage some "oo I see something interesting above me, maybe I should buy a ladder for tomorrow", but with the limited time we didn't really do a great job communicating that to the player.

The deeper in debt, the more important dog friend is! haha

Thanks for playing :)

Three headed egg mask man... so spooky. Impeccable vibes!

Cool mechanic! Once you introduce more than two blocks it can get tricky.

I love the art so much! It's such a fun idea too. My team almost went with something similar but we knew we'd need to nail the art/presentation and didn't think we had the skills to get it done. Y'all killed it!

Such a cool vibe, so somber and melancholy. I loved the tension of rushing to the next spark, then pausing to enjoy the thought that comes along with and taking a breather.

The graphics are so nice too, I would love to just sit and watch the animations. <3

so kind! thanks so much :D

LOVED playing this! I'm a sucker for time mechanics, the moment I got to the level where you throw yourself into the arrow belt and time it with a location reset I just... *chef's kiss* so fun

Lots of little moments of "a ha, I get it!", a sign of a well-designed puzzle. I'd definitely play more levels!

A total blast! Getting into a rhythm with it starts to feel a bit like playing Crypt of the Necrodancer. Love the gameplay, and the visuals are so good. :)

Ughh it's so hard! But I love it so much. One of the best games I've played in the jam so far, easily the one I've spent the most time on. Well done!

I didn't really get what was going on at first but the visual style and the sound effects were so compelling I just kept playing. Tons of fun! :)

Who could possibly say no to such a good dog?

<3 Thanks for playing :)

I would love a downloadable version of this! :) I like it so much.

Thank you! :)

This is my favorite game I've played in the jam so far! I love the concept, the execution is fantastic, and the art makes me so happy. :D Gonna play it a few more times. <3 Great job!

Lol it's chaos! I love it, and I love that it's a cat causing all of this damage. :) So cute, definitely gonna play more.

Thank you for playing <3 :)

Thank you! :D We had no shortage of ideas for where we'd take it with more time, but incremental game is an interesting idea. Hmm...

Frog tower defense!! I love it so much. :) Cute and casual and fun.

I struggled a bit with my touchpad but still enjoyed the experience even without shielding haha. When I can play on my computer with a mouse I think it'll be really fun! The art style is really lovely. :)

The presentation is crazy good! Love the art, the music, and the frame story. The creature types are all really cool too. :) I feel like I only just scratched the surface with the mechanics but it feels like it goes deep! Lots of fun. <3

Really fun and creative idea! I loved progressing slightly more each time as I was able to afford more powerups :)

thank youuuuu :D Yes deep down we all yearn for the mines!! Mining games really scratch a particular itch for me too haha. Glad you liked it <3

So much fun! Getting combos feels really good. :)

Lots of fun! Hmm I'm realizing I have a thing for glitched out OS simulators, haha. Feels like there are more secrets waiting to be discovered. :)

So clever and fun! I love picking powers and having them tick off on different beats, and the puzzles were really well designed. :) Lots of "ohhh, I got it!" moments.

Great work!

Thanks for playing. :)

I've noticed a couple of people have missed the ATM buttons next to the shop. You need to pay off your debt manually by clicking those buttons. My apologies, I think we could have made that a little more clear!

The accidental block breaking is another thing we could improve with a dedicated dig button, or maybe to break a block you have to move into it twice... hmmm.

So soothing! The sound effects, visuals, and floaty movement all give me a peaceful soaring through the sky feeling :)

Thank you for playing! :D
