The performance was realllly slow on my PC, and I felt like the controls just weren't super intuitive, but I love 3D games, and I love that there was another RTS game in the submissions!!! :D The map was pretty beautiful. I can see that the UI and the mechanics in this game were actually pretty complex and impressive, which deserves a few extra points. I highly recommend making a continued development page with some bugfixes, because I'd love to give it another go then

The mantis jump scare actually scared me a lot. It's a somber reminder that even 1 bug on my screen is too many bugs, because I am deeply afraid of bugs. I love the visual style in this game. I'm always excited to see what type of music Thomas cooked up!

That's a pretty good idea! I also think WASD is probably more natural. We kinda got too attached to the idea of making the game feel like League of Legends, where you can do most stuff with the mouse.

Hey guys, I just wanted to tell ya'll the controls, because the original plan was to say it on the Itch.io page:

  • ESC = Pause
  • Middle Mouse (OR Hold Space + Click and Drag) = Pan/Rotate
  • Left Click = Guide Bugs
  • Scroll Wheel = Zoom in and out
  • Numpad 0 is for cheaters

You may lay eggs on the heated vents to respawn units.

You need 10 bugs to push down a big red button.

Pushing down all three buttons wins you the game.

This game was really cool! The opening sequence where you check your phone was a really creative way of implementing a story. The art style was great, I loved the music as well! I did want to add, because I didn't see anyone else mention this, the game does lag a lot after about 2 minutes of playing every time new enemies spawn in, but it's very smooth for the first dozen waves. Not super game-breaking, but it might be worth looking into if you guys continue development. It could also just be my PC.

When I first played this game, I was certain that it was bugged, because I would try to get in through the front door or window, etc. and it would end the game. It took me a few minutes of walking around to find that the screen door does slide open, but once I found the right door, the rest was smooth sailing. I love the low-poly realistic artstyle/shaders. Overall, it was not buggy and all the controls worked great.
The house is beautiful and cozy. Other than my mouse cursor appearing on the screen, the game was immersive. I kept expecting some kind of jump scare, but the silence inside the house was calming. It's really close to being a horror game though. Perhaps with scary audio, you guys could make a horror game in the future.
I felt like story-wise, the game didn't expand on the story very much after the initial dialogue, but it's still very impressive for a 48 hour jam!

I was genuinely terrified running this on my personal computer at first, but it's such a cool concept and there were no bugs or anything!
