When I first achieved infinite scrolling, the game ran really slowly. Collision detection was being pushed to its limits, and I had to sacrifice a lot of collision checks each frame to keep things running. That's why collisions may occasionally feel a little slippery. But thanks to those optimizations, I managed to get the game running smoothly again. I'm very happy with its current performance.

And yes, ZGB is an amazing engine 🙏

Thank you so much bbbbbr! I really appreciate your comment and I'm so glad you enjoyed the demo! 😊 Yes, it's built with ZGB, but I had to modify a large part of the common files to implement the multidirectional infinite scroll system and everything that comes with it regarding enemy and item respawning. It was a tough job, but it was essential to bring this project to life.

You nailed mate! And a very little bit of Teddy Boy Blues (the multi-directional infinite scroll system). All the 3 titles made by the master Yoji Ishii. It is my humble homage to this creator.

I hope you enjoy de demo. The full game is on its way :)

hi, could I use it for a platformer game instead a cenital 2D game?
Like a wonderboy game, in which you have to eat fruit to increase your HP. thanks!
