ARC Review
Loved it, it felt like a bloodier tenser hybrid of Nosferatu and Carmilla but in a historical period in Poland which I ended up enjoying. And for it to be told within slightly 100+ pages impressed me. Definitely another great book among Ladz's bibliography. There were Polish words as mentioned in the forward but I think it helped make it feel immersive plus mke the setting feel more real in that sense too.
So I had this short story that was written last year but needed some revisions but when I heard about this jam, I thought of maybe rewriting it to fit the theme of the jam and expand it into a novella. But it features two OCs of mine that have a book of their own that I'm planning to finish writing someday. But the gist of it is a murder mystery that spirals into a slasher mystery concerning an old house inside a fictionalized New Jersey based setting.
And as for the graphics. I use GIMP mostly(thinking about using other programs) but are there any advice when trying to make covers? And what's the basic size ratio for them? And is it possible we could bring what graphics we make to any of the artists mentioned for them to work some of their magic on it too? The reason I ask is that I do try to make logos of my own but would love to bring what I have to a designer I could commission to see if they could refine it to something I'd like?
