Sorry about this wall of text.

I really enjoyed this game! The concept is simple but the puzzles really make you think: "What would the player do here?" And it makes these puzzles very interesting because you have to manipulate how the player would get to your ping, because they ignore most things in the way. I also love Dialogue Box and Main Menu, they are the greatest characters. I wish you could do more with Main Menu, maybe they could show you a secret?

Also, I have a few ideas for future mechanics:

  • Something the player would avoid, so you'd have to find a way to get rid of it or go around it, etc. Not sure what it could be though.

  • A different type of player that could learn as it dies. I know this doesn't necessarily match the concept of the game, but I still think it could be interesting. Say that player runs into some spikes and dies. Then they would know that they should avoid the spikes next time.

  • A piston that pushes the character. I feel like this gimmick could really mess up the player and could lead to some interesting puzzles.
  • Something that manipulates the direction the player is facing. Since the player is an arrow that tells you where it's looking, it just seems logical to have it so there is a sort of "Medusa Statue" (From N-Step Steve) that would kill the player if they looked at it. Since the player always looks in the direction it's moving, you'd have to manipulate the direction they're moving to get them to the stairs.

Finally, your sister's level is very "cheese-able" and can be beaten without much thought. I liked your levels more.

Sorry again for the wall of text, I just kept coming up with more ideas...
