How should I download this patch, or do I need to download the game again for it to be active?

How can i say, i played for 2 hours as a friend, but i haven't been able to open any scene or reach any ending yet. other than game over. Honestly, i couldn't understand where i went wrong.

I understand that the game looks like a really fun thing, but after every decision I make, I never have a chance to get rid of it, frankly, I'm sure I tried every way

do we not have a chance to save after the cards we choose?
