My buddy was saying the same thing when he was testing. If I keep working on the project I'd like to incorporate a tutorial to fully explain the mechanics and controls. Appreciate the critique

Appreciate that, good looking out!

Thanks, I'm glad you got that kid feeling. I'm trying to capture that nostalgia with these Gameboy games. Thank you for playing!

Thanks! I didn't have time to finish the tablet track, but I'm glad it hit still. Appreciate ya playing

Hey looks great on the original screen! Appreciate you posting that.

Thanks for testing things out! I agree there needs to be some kind of option to skip the intro. It gets old when replaying. Those are the little suggestions I'm looking for to improve the experience.

Thanks for testing on some Nintendo hardware, and your insight on emulation. I expected things to be a little small, but I'm glad to hear everything is functioning properly. I was mainly concerned about the colors and contrast looking bad on original hardware. I've had to tweak the colors alot since they look different when running on emulators outside gbstudio.

I'll be updating the rom again soon, as I added more enemies and polished animations some more over the holiday.

I appreciate the feedback!

I have been working a lot on polishing things up, and testing the rom. The demo is complete and playable, aside from me obsessively tweaking.

I will put a rom up today so you can play it in a more enjoyable fashion.

I'm still trying to get rid of some minor slow down, polish/add more sound effects, possibly more music. It's taken me longer than I'd hoped to finish the demo, but having things in the polished state they are will make finishing the full game much easier.

Thanks so much for checking in, and please give me some feedback once you test the rom.  Rom runs great in the "sameboy" emulator and retroarch on my miyoo mini plus. Haven't tested on my gbc hardware yet.

I appreciate your interest in my game!

Thanks very much! I'll have the rom up soon, I'm almost finished with the demo.

Thanks very much for the feedback, and checking out the demo! I did tool around with crouching as I agree it feels like you should be able to.  There's a plugin that can change the collision box of the characters sprite sheet to pull it off, but I decided to pass as plugins can sometimes cause issues when new updates come for gb studio.

I'm already pushing the DMG to the limit on object and projectiles as is so the crouch shoot may force me to simplify things even more.

At the end I chose animations and blood spatter over the ability to crouch shoot

Thanks a lot, I am going to put the demo rom up on my page once I finish it. Will be up before the new year sir.

Thanks very much. Keep checking in as I'm updating the demo regularly while I finish it!

Your Youtube videos have been immensely helpful while building my platforming-puzzle-horror game in GB studio. I would really appreciate it if you check it out and give me your thoughts as your videos are the best!

Excellent, looking forward to playing some more!

love your background tiles man!

I think I encountered a bug where the players walk animation stops cycling while walking. I wasn't able to pick out what was triggering it though. Keep going this is a nice game.

Post your thoughts on Solace Void here.

Keep in mind the current demo is not finished and is only meant to get a feel for the basic game play.
