hello! it will not be compatible with expanded edition as unfortunately expanded runs on different internal systems compared to the original edition + overkill. i haven’t exactly tested save file compatibility between expanded (demo, that is) and overkill, you could try if you really wanted to, but i doubt it will work sadly </3

though, since overkill is extra moments accessed via a bonus screen, and heatwaves dlc is a whole new storyline in expanded edition, you wouldn’t really be missing on much at all in terms of experiencing both at the same time! :) i’d recommend making the same character in orig. and expd. for maximum immersion if you’d like.

hello! the overkill dlc is rather intuitive so you wouldn’t really need to “brute force” any endings and the like since the main gameplay is just completing moments.

the guidebook is a comprehensive guide to not just all achievements, but creator’s commentary, character bios, original edition’s guide itself, and the like - and it took me a lot of time to make, as did the overkill dlc for me to write and program. i understand wanting it to come with the dlc, though the original game is free, with over 60k+ words. i’ve already given away months of time to make something for everyone to enjoy for free. i don’t think it’s so much of an ask to be paid for my time now.

there are also full gameplays of the overkill dlc for solutions on youtube, for a purchase-free option, which you’re welcome to look into.

STEAM - HOW DO I ACCESS THESE FILES?

After purchase, you may access the DLC via:

Gear icon in Killer Chat! Original Edition’s Library page.

1. Go to your Library in the Steam client. 2. Select Killer Chat! Original Edition and on its Library page select the gear icon.

2. Select “Manage” and select “Browse Local Files…”

4. The game’s folder will appear with the Valentine’s Bundle within it.

i use a MacOS but the file structure should look like that. the DLC also needs to be unzipped to work properly.

• if everything is correct, clicking “overkill” on launch will bring you to your saves screen. you will be prompted to load a save.

hello! you will have to download the new killer chat! build ( the one that says “dlc compatible” ) in order to load the overkill dlc. the 1.3.2 version will not work for it!

for changing the font, we are working on implementing the hyperlegible font currently, parts of our ui still need to be adjusted to the new font which is why it is currently turned off.

we’re working on implementing more accessibility options, which will come with the next update!
