We at Team PurPurple are pleased to hear that our game left such an impact on you, although we have a suggestion: We recommend replaying the game and maybe even trying the level editor! If you were ONLY able to get a 39 story mansion after a first play through, playing again and really immersing yourself with the game will likely lead to better results more in line with what we are expecting. (Note: the average after full immersion is a 50 story mansion)

Reading through the comments, I am happy to see that Jamal believes in equal rights and licks all equally. Truly the peak of gaming!

Thank you so much! Glad that vibe came through!! One of the developers here, Pokemon Ranger was one of the key inspirations when we were coming up with the original concept for the game :3

Easily the best game I’ve played in GMTK Jam so far! Voice acting is hilarious, jokes are incredibly well timed, Deltarune explosion sound effect, and it was super creative the whole way through!

Two small bugs (but really nothing that big of a deal):

  • The level where you play as a door, it was pretty finicky getting it to fit under the very rude wall in the middle of the room
  • If you were overlapping the door when dialog ended, you needed to move away then come back to load the next room. I would recommend using OnTriggerStay() instead of OnTriggerOverlap() and make sure the player’s rigidbody doesnt sleep

but really phenomenal game, gave 5/5 in all categories

Really creative game!! The art style and music are both wonderful and the ideas are super fresh!

I am nitpicking here because I think it was amazing but could be even better with a few small tweaks: I wish the map had a few more defining features to it. I wanted to memorize the layout of the map, but there was really nothing to use as a point of reference. Placing the camera a bit higher and a bit more tilted down would allow you to see incoming obstacles a lot easier. Being able to see obstacles on the underside of the road was pretty distracting. Either culling them or adding a shader to the road to make them blurry would take the game a long way.

Keep up the amazing work though!!! I enjoyed it a ton :3
