I played this for a while and have some feedback.

  1. I can't see far ahead when moving up or down. The camera should zoom out when moving up or down, so the player can see more than 2 tiles ahead.
  2. There is no need for breaking walls yet. There aren't many connected walls generated. One way to have a need to break walls could be, placing some kind of prize surrounded by walls. Maybe some kind of mini-labyrinths with a prize.
  3. Last idea, You could let the game begin like the classic Snake game in a small rectangle area surrounded by walls. Then the player would break the wall to reach a larger area, which is surrounded by a larger wall, and so on... and so on...
The larger walls could get even thicker, so the player really needs to break the walls, before the snake gets too big for the surrounded area.

Yooo, it's fun!

The Controls feels much better now. (Edit: perfect)

Now it's challanging by design. Good!

The Music is fitting, I guess. But I loved the athmosphere of the first version.
I think deep bass sounds would fit this game better.
If you go for Arcade music, add more tracks (ex: OpenGameArt.org) and the option to turn off music.

Can I play this in Fullscreen?

The Main Menu design is very cool!

Yo, updates! xD

Nice style. This game is a good base for some retro crazyness.

  • There could be more types of "apples". Some apples could move away from the snake so player sometimes have to speed up.
  • There could be some walls
  • There could be some "bad apples". Like different colored apples wich steal a energy block if the snake eats it.
  • "bad apples" could also have a moving variant.

However, it was quite fun to burst for some minutes through this game.

If I try to change the direction twice, too fast, then the second input isn't recognized. Though, the timeframe between inputs feels too long for the snakes faster movement.

Wow, das weckt echte Nostalgie. Als ein junger Teenager war das originale Vampires Dawn das erste umfangreiche RPG Maker Spiel welches ich durchspielte.
