Hm, yeah! I can see where you're coming from. The final chapter was a slow-coast epilogue where we focused on Chris tying up the ends of his issues at home. There wasn't a lot of room to elaborate beyond his life, partly due to the restraints of the first-person narrative.

However! You'll be happy to know we're working on a Summer episode VN! Hopefully, the extra story should help soothe that "rushed" feeling.

Out of curiosity, what was the "more" you were expecting? Was there a different narrative or sequence of events you wanted to see?

It's a play on words with the name "Yuka" and "puke." It's making fun of him for barfing in an earlier chapter, essentially.

As for your question! It was an idea that I've had for a while now. My previous long-term project was a Beastars fanfic called "Behind the Curtain." As fun as it was writing all of those characters, a part of me yearned to create something original.

Hearthfire was supposed to be a novel, but with some convincing of a few friends, it bloomed into a visual novel instead!

We put in a little extra elbow grease when it came to the CGs in this one! Since it's the climax of the story, it seemed fitting!

That being said, I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter that much, and that it managed to hit you just as emotionally hard as it did for me, haha~
