I usually reach around wave 4 or 5 after 5 mins. You're probably not using the special enough, it's pretty strong and gives you an instant 180. Also letting go of the thrust makes you turn faster.
The game is pretty hard but that's kinda by design. I don't want the beginning to be just a formality/boring once you get better. But I'm also considering how I can rebalance it cause it does start pretty hard atm. Maybe the second stage I add will actually be a more chill one before this one.
What did you expect for shooting? Are you playing with the missiles aircraft? This one is a lot harder than the gun aircraft and it's been reworked already (will be in next version).
