That's not you missing something — that's my bug, and thank you for reporting it, because you're the first person to hit it in public.

When the eighth man is confirmed you get a dialog called "Eight of eight", and the button at the bottom of it was the only way into the final accusation. Close that dialog with the X, or press Escape, or just reload the page — and the last question became permanently unreachable. The game had already recorded the dialog as seen, so it never came back. You did everything right and I locked you out of my own ending.

Fixed now. There's a red "The last question" button in the top bar that appears whenever your chart is complete and the case is still open. It's driven by the state of the board, not by whether you saw the dialog, so your existing save will work — just reload the page and it'll be sitting there waiting for you. No need to start over.

If it doesn't show up after a reload, tell me and I'll dig in.

Sorry about that, and I'm glad you're enjoying it otherwise. Once you've named him, the 1979 chart opens up.
