Nice juicy too. Some lovely particles and lighting.

This is really good. Really love the art and music. Great game! You should expand it after the Jam.

Hi! Great game. Just FYI the Steam URL above isn’t correct. It’s to a user profile. !;)

Word Forward is a complex brain-tingler that asks seasoned veterans of the genre to think in all new ways. A pensive word puzzle game that rewards strategic thinking and careful consideration, Word Forward isn’t a game about spelling the biggest words or the smartest words. It’s a game about using cunning and strategy to clear all 25 letters from the board.

To do this, players need to think not only about which tiles they’re using, but where they’re placed and what other tiles they might orphan in the process. TechRadar described it as demanding “a chess-like think-ahead strategy,” and we couldn’t agree more.

Earlier this year, we launched Word Forward on mobile devices, and it quickly became the #1 paid word game on Google Play. This was done without any kind of marketing budget; our success was entirely dependent on word of mouth and critical consensus. Thankfully, the people who played it loved it -- and they didn’t love it because it was easy or familiar. In fact, you can read some of the earlier love the mobile version got here, here, and here. It was even featured in the print edition of Stuff Magazine this summer. That’s words on PAPER! The original home of words!

Starting today, Word Forward is available on PC and Mac for the first time. The game has racked up more than 6 million plays in its lifetime mobile - and we hope that the itch.io community will love it just as much as our other players have!
