How can you say these things if you didn’t even finish the game? I added a leaderboard on purpose, just to see whether the feedback comes after actually playing the game and not just after opening it for a few seconds.

That’s an intentional block, you need to go down and find an alternative way

Upon closer evaluation, the music actually fits the game well, although the background track might be a bit too similar

Your game has a visual style that really caught my attention — it has something intriguing, and the narration is very nice too. I would probably choose a different kind of music, even though the current one isn’t bad; maybe changing it during combat or even earlier could improve the atmosphere.

I kindly ask you to try my game as well and let me know what you think. I had some issues because I accidentally deleted the original file, thinking I could still make changes during the voting phase. I had to reupload everything on itch.io. You can find it here: https://robylogic-71.itch.io/the-starbound-butterfly2

The voting is still on the main submission page. Thank you very much!

The game is very nice. I would maybe change the music and make it easier to understand. At the beginning it took me a bit of time to figure out what to do and how to do it — maybe a short tutorial would help.

Please also play my game and let me know your opinion. Unfortunately, by mistake I deleted the file and had to reupload everything on itch.io at the following link: https://robylogic-71.itch.io/the-starbound-butterfly2

The screen doesn’t adapt to the game window. When you save in GDevelop, you should set it to never change the game resolution, and on itch.io you should enable “maximize game window”. This should give you some improvements.

The game fits the theme well, even if the gameplay is a bit too simple. But we can always improve — I think the more jams you join, the more experience you gain.

Due to an unexpected technical issue, the original game file was removed from the submission and cannot be restored until the voting period ends. To ensure the game remains accessible, here is an alternative download/play link: [https://robylogic-71.itch.io/the-starbound-butterfly2] Thank you for your patience and understanding.

I noticed that on mobile devices it actually doesn’t work, but on PC there shouldn’t be any problems.

The game is nice, but it takes up more space than my screen, so I have to scroll through the floors with the mouse. Only the gameplay needs improvement.

I found the game very fun and innovative. I played it more than once, and in fact I have two entries on the leaderboard.

I had fun and the music is super cute!

Are you by any chance talking about a light you can’t reach because you seem to be stuck? It’s a riddle — it’s up to you to find the solution, but it’s easy. If you can’t figure it out, write to me again

You’re right, but I don’t know why the third time I launched the game everything worked fine.

"I really liked your game and had a lot of fun, even if it was a bit frantic! Great job!"

"I think you could have taken more risks with the background music."

"I liked the game, even though it wasn't immediately clear what to do or which keys to use. The view didn't allow me to adjust the window, so everything looked too large. Regarding the music, I would have preferred a bit more variety. That said, the graphics are very cute and the scene construction is excellent. Great job!"

"The game is really cute and the levels are well-built. I had some trouble with Level 3, though—I got stuck and couldn't manage to get up onto the high platform."

"I also enjoyed the game; it was a very creative concept!"

you must enter a nickname and press button play. After you move player with arrow keys

“I’m sorry you can’t hear the music, because the soundtrack and sound effects are really beautiful. Try opening the game’s page with a different browser.”

“A well‑made space vampire‑survivor! The background music fits perfectly, as do the sound effects. The minimalist graphics work really well too. Great job! It would help to have some instructions, because at first I didn’t understand how to shoot (usually it’s the space bar), and also the key to switch to fullscreen.”

"The gameplay concept is good. You should definitely change the sounds! Maybe one sound for the knight and a different one for the other player. The jump also needs improvement — perhaps adding a double jump to reach platforms more easily, otherwise the game tends to get stuck. Keep improving it. If you can take a look at my game and maybe rate it, I’d be grateful!"

What fun! I really enjoyed it. The controls just need some improvement because they’re a bit tricky. Could you rate my game as well? Thanks!"

"Fun and cute game, too bad there are no sounds!

"Relaxing but fun game. The assigned keys don’t make it very clear how to move the player, though it still works in its own way. In my opinion, the music doesn’t really match the type of game, but it’s not a big issue. Instead of dying instantly and restarting, you could add an energy bar that decreases when you crash, and only when it reaches 0 the spaceship gets destroyed. If you could rate my game as well, I’d really appreciate it!"

"The game is really nice and I really like the gameplay. The music fits the game very well and was chosen perfectly. Great job! Could you take a look at my game too and give me some feedback? Thanks!"

“Thank you for the feedback — definitely constructive. I’m familiar with almost all the game engines (Godot, Unity, Unreal), but the ease of use of GDEVELOP is impressive, as well as what it can do in both 2D and 3D. As you can see from the credits, most of the music and graphics come from Pixabay or were generated with AI, because I’m not able to draw!”

The game is really fun, and I scored 5700 only because I got caught by the shark — otherwise I would have reached at least 6000! The music could have been a bit more ZEN in terms of atmosphere. Great job! If you’d like, try and rate my game too! Thanks.

Very nice game!

If you can, take a look at my game and give it a rating too. Thanks!”

“Simple but very cute game! I have to say you really need to put in some effort to survive for a long time. The FLOW fits perfectly! I would have just used a more ambient-style music. Great job, I really enjoyed it.

“What a fantastic idea. And perfectly on theme with the Flow! If you can, take a look at my game as well. Thanks!”

“You really had a lovely idea. The flow is clearly visible throughout the game. The music is a bit minimal and maybe a bit repetitive, but it works. The two‑tone style is super nice.”
