i also have the exact same proplem on my macbook air m1 maybe the games code only its made to run on old intel macs i really hope thats not the case 

great game really injoed

fixed issue is solved just instal the game via the itch.io app and game works perfect and people do not even need to open terminal and do the chmod +x trick 

when i click new game on mac m1 it whil not start and yes i did the chmod +x evrigbody needs to do to be able to open the game on macs  it opens perfect but i can never start the game it also when i open the game says v 0.0.0 op in the left corner and i think it shuld be 0.8.6  but it does not seam true for mac 

think there might stil be some bugs with you mac os relise in the end of the game like black screen but all in all very nice game

for this to work on mac best instal it and play it using the itch launcher ios app thats what worked for me just to let anybody know 

i have proplems on mac i cannot grap the donots propely only sometims it whil let me grap one i think this is a bug for mac os players

sound too load at start neded to turn the wulume down in the games settings someting there needs to be fix it almost damage my hearig

love it and love i can play it on my mac and linux operating systems there many people there switcing to linux becouse microslop inplements so much a.i copilot crapware no want asked for it but this game is amazing

a flashlight could be nice too dark for me to play when the lights goes out even if i turn brihtness all the way up i still cannot see a thing in the darkness
