Your game when I saw it appear... was the most " Anticipated " one I wanted to play.

I thank you for your encouragement and positivity. I want to use this gam jam to share experience and reactions but also suggest improvements.

Since from my understanding you don't speak english and use google translate to text. I would have liked to do a 1 on 1 over discord with you! since your game was the most polished out of everyone.

I haven't given up and will most likely change things. Since i believe people don't know how to create Humor games that work.

Thank you for taking the time to do this. Creating games that either win or lose isn't the true goal. It's actually the "Completing" Part that is the most important for students and hobbyists to actually grow in skills and development of games.

 

Out of all the entries. only 5-6 where considered to be valid and even then some where made within an hour or 2 with little to no fixes or humor at all. Im still going to release the video since i reacted to the games that i placed even if they arent qualified but honestly i might as well create a game as an example of a Humor Type game for game jams. There will most likely be NO rewards. It's unfair since maybe 1 game had the theme humor and i feel like no one followed the theme at all.

There's no humour, also reading a book isnt gameplay nor an actual game.

im sorry but... there isn't any Humor in this game. :/ The gameplay it self has no humor at all. Maybe you can say that it has some kind of self "Office" type of vibe but the game is abit annoying since all your doing it pressing a button or not based on colored text. this itself should a bin a mini game among others

i honestly believe with the 3 weeks everyone had, you could of improved the impact towards the enemies. I dont think anyone is going to like the controls of this game. this game is not complete

How?

The game isnt balanced,  too many enemies spawning randomly in weird areas, cant move 90% of the time. Less is more... 

Overall its anything. We organise on discord or by email what you want. i buy it and send it. It's a gift card of your choice or we can try through paypal sending money though friends and family so i cannot ask for a refund :)

Also, like the last game jam. There must be atleast 10 eligible submissions. To make it fair as a competition but also give value to me for youtube. It's only fair.

If we dont reach it. I still give a price but not as big and i try to increase the payout to the next gamejam.

Since the entries are on the lower side and also people want an extension. We have an additional week. Take advantage to improv, double check your work and make sure it works on windows or web.

Im currently editing the video. Takes time since i am not an editor.
PS: on the serious note, we didnt have enough games that fit the criteria. in total we had 4-5 games. the rest were copy pasted games or out of context disqualified games. I expect atleast 10 games that fit the theme. A bit unfair to be honest.

I recorded a 2 ish hour video yesterday... Ill have to rerecord 1 or 2 scenes since some of the recording was messed up " Ricky's game " as an example. Also to be honest. Some of your games had Little to no humor. This makes it really annoying because the goal was to make me laugh and nothing really made me laugh. Some people got disqualified but it doesnt mean you're not in the video. it's just there wasn't even any effort of humour. 

I dont even know how to progress in the game

Hey ryan! The game works well and has a wonderful concept. The overall controls were nice and it had a warioware feel to it. But your door game had nothing funny about it. The game jam is about humour. I really think if you added like... A bathroom door, when you knock someone says " hey im using the toilet", knock again " hey im shitting here!" then the last knock would open the door and you would here a high pitch scream with a person on the toilet. Its just a simple example but the game itself had no humour. So all games with 10 humour got disqualified. I actually recorded almost a  2 hour video that will be shortened and it will show on youtube. Its a clean game but it doesnt fit this jam. If you want me to analyze code or etc... Let me know and we can chat on discord! Overall cool game but wrong jam

The music was fine but the interaction of the main character had hardcore cut within the web. both chrome and internet explorer
