The presentation and artstyle are so nostalgic, it reminds me a lot of the aesthetic of classic DS games! My only major cavet would be there's no real indication if you're doing the minigames right, some visual detail to indicate you're spinning/drying right would help a lot. But overall, this a pleasant and very enjotable game.
The amount of polish in this game is incredible, everything looks and sounds so smooth and satisfying! Spinning the wheel and seeing big number go up is also cool. My only cavet is that the gameplay could be more in-depth, maybe the ability to customize the wheel, buy upgrades, or more variety in the types of slots that can show up in the wheel.
I love the concept of adjusting the wheel with segments you get from defeated enemies, it's such a clever idea! I think the game speed might be a little too slow though, as battles tend to drag on a little. Some more visual effects would be nice too, which would complement the great visuals the game already has.
All and all though, the core concept is amazing, and with a bit of polish this could be a full release!
your aesthetic and visual style are incredible, the game just nails this familar yet strange feeling, which is further enchanced by your writing. Interacting with the villagers and solving their problems by using the spin ability was my favorite part of the game, such a unique concept for the game jam.
My only cavet would be the platforming segments- they felt a bit repetative at times and I felt the physics of the moveset were a little inconsistent. That being said, this was still a stellar experience, I could play an entire game on the segment in the village alone.
Really fun and creative idea!! I find it a little difficult to line up shots, but I feel like that's part of the fun with the whole risk/reward idea of spinning faster. I don't think I managed to see all the upgrades, but ones that would give you more projectiles or make them bigger would be neat ideas, and could make for an interesting trade offs between upgrades that make you more powerful or increase your accuracay.
