I think the implication is that, somehow, MalO found a way to stay with us after all and then we move on to figure out what's going on with those weird messages Si-Won had received and mentioned earlier. They did talk about how they should look into that, once the current problems are dealt with, so I guess that's what we're supposed to take from it, but it could definitely have been clearer.
That event and CG are unlocked in the same way. I will copy the process I put in a reply farther below.
I am not sure about the diamonds. I guess they stand for the endings? I have them all unlocked but never paid attention to them until you mentioned them here to be honest.
