Thank you! That really encourages me to keep going.

Let’s stay positive and keep going together...gogogogo

Appreciate your feedback!!!!

My main goal is to share art that captures the feeling of Eastern mythology, but I’ll definitely take your advice about pricing and audience into consideration.
I’ll keep creating what I love, and at the same time, try to make it more accessible for game developers who might need these kinds of characters.

Hi everyone,

I’m a 2D artist and animator. Most of my work is inspired by ancient Asian culture and mythology — I design characters that look like spirits, warriors, or demons from old Eastern legends.

But when I look around on Itch.io, most of the assets and discussions seem to focus on European medieval, modern, or Korean-style pixel fantasy themes.

It makes me feel a bit out of place, and I’m starting to wonder if this Asian traditional art direction just doesn’t have much of an audience here.

I’m not sure whether I should keep going with my current style or adapt to what’s more popular.

Has anyone else felt this way? I’d really like to hear your thoughts — or see if anyone else is also creating Asian-inspired work.

Thanks for reading 🙏
