Public Service Announcement: Indeed, the wrong spawn in Forrest Level 2 hardlocks this game from further progression.
However, there is a way around this.
By playing through SmallOwl's Strike Of Twilight 2, https://small-owl.itch.io/strike-of-twilight-2, and due to the way the data between these games seems to interface, doing so retro-unlocks the Hell levels in Strike Of Twilight.
The armor you buy in SOT2 that isn't it 1 does get 'erased', and there are some inventory carry over shenanigans, so there are some frusations, but it's well worth it be able to fully play SOT in my opinion.
A couple thoughts:
1) Consider adding a key press to skip the opening animation, can get annoying to have to watch the same thing over and over just to get to the play.
2) The movement is really janky. If you press down a direction and let go, often you still just keep goin in that direction. This makes using the 'evemtual zoom' mechanic annoying to a point.
Checkpoint works now, thanke.
What is the solution to Level 2, though? I am not finding one.
The jank with the boxes has caused one issue. It happened once before, but this time I got footage of after the fact at least. It seems to occur somehow when picking up/putting down one box while below another one in some precise manner.
Some more box fun for you to see.And if you are holding a box while you die, you can still drop it, lololol.
Simple gameplay but an interestingly mild precision. I do agree with below that the crabs are tad too hard too see in the dark. I also think the gameplay is too slow; while I see the intent, it does bog down going back and forth at a point. Otherwise, it's a charming little adventure, even if short.
