I had the same problem with Ubuntu 20.04 and fixed it by running this command in the Terminal :
"sudo apt install libopenal1"
It's a known issue in GameMaker Studio 2.
I may easily rank this game as one of my favorites ever, no less!
Akurra (still in dev) is the epitome of the kind of games I deeply enjoy: adventure and puzzle games. Beautifully crafted and totally atmospheric with its haunting soundtrack, plus intertwined puzzles and various cryptic elements, this non-verbal game reveals a true talent of storytelling. Its inspired pixel art clearly reminds of the aesthetics and poetic universe drawn in GBC Zelda: Link’s Awakening DX (still my favorite episode to this day). While being rather quite unique with its exotic vibe, Akurra conveys a familiar and timeless feel. This game is like playing Sokoban in a kind of « Koholint » Archipelago. Its core mechanics are simple, yet compelling and addictive! A good-hearted and not punishing game (no death penalties, infinite undo and reset options) which brings to the player a true feel of exploration and completion at its finest (discovering secret places, collecting stuff, solving puzzles...). Akurra is like an invitation to lose yourself in a dream world of imagination and play. A true labour of love and a future cult classic!
Thank you so much for the big demo and keep up the good work!
