As someone who enjoys flight simulators such as Il-2 sturmovik and the ace combat series, I found this game to be a breath of fresh air in the genre that so often focuses on realism while forgetting the simple joy and freedom of soaring through the skies. The upgrade system appears to be inspired by the roguelike genre of games, such as the binding of isaac, slay the spire etc. and does a great job of incentivizing players to push further. The soundtrack is mysterious and dreamy, made me think of classic Miyazaki films such as spirited away and classic nintendo titles such as zelda and luigi's mansion. I will admit, I'm not the biggest fan of TouHou games, but from a quick google search, the art seems to be authentic to the artstyle of the series, the eastern influence makes me think the artist must've been chinese and played stalker at some point. The tongue-in-cheek reference to the yakuza series is also greatly appreciated. Overall, I'd give it 8.5/10,my only gripe being that there doesn't seem to be any support for flight sticks yet, hopefully the devs will consider it for a future update.
