Yes. No AI in the game. All the ugly Bobs and animations are a collaboration between asprite, deluxe Paint IV and my trembling hands (well hand, I only have one). Backgrounds made in pixlr. Music and sound made in Logic and converted to samples used in protracker :-)
Btw. I really like your Dreamcast experiments. Is it a very steep learning curve? Love to try making something for it!
Would be absolutely fantastic if you would show it in Plug & Play - also remember that you can press 's' on the cowboy screen to start the game in one joystick mode - but two player is more fun!
Always wanted to see Cologne - I might take you up on that :-) Gamescom is supposed to be awesome! Would be fun to host a competition where teams of two fight for the Tango Zero hi-score!
First and foremost thank you for a great show!
And thank you for featuring my game!
A few pointers - to complete a level you need to have +1000 points before time runs out (a voice is saying 3 minutes... 2 minutes... 1 minute to let you). You actually got very close ;-)
Second point - every action costs fuel - I saw that from the second time you played you had the beamer on the whole time - that costs a lot of fuel and should only be used shortly when directly over a cow. The second the cow gets locked-in by the beam you can release the fire button.
Third - The one who controls the gun also controls the shield. By pressing the joystick up, you engage the shield so that no bullets can harm you - however - shield cost fuel - so use only short bursts.
With these hints - you should be able to get to the next level - featuring submarines! Watch out - that level is tricky, but there is a strategy that helps you if you can figure it out. Next level is Panzer train - It helps a lot if you've watched a movie whose title rimes with 'dope'.
Again, thank you for a great show - it also allowed me to dust off my german - which is where I will have my summer vacation :-)
Yeah - you know how these things go - I've slated the release for some time in 2026 - I just realised that I wanted to make the backstory and puzzles better - and rather than rushing things, just take my time doing it right. The soundtrack is out on streaming services, which was a bigger task than anticipated - I do however have another game (Tango Zero) coming out in a couple of months :-) It's the total opposite of The Doll Maker - fast paced alien cowboy action!
Love Timo's castle by the way - and that Collectors Box sure look beautiful!
