Thank you so much! A large portion of this was inspired by John Williams, and he is the king of brass and woodwind accenting.

I'm lucky enough to have a friend who records and mixes orchestras for a living and I've gotten a lot of tips from him over the years. I sort of mimic what he does to try to emulate the "real" feel as much as possible..

It's interesting that you say that. There is no compression on any individual instrument. The only compression is on the mix bus. It's a 2:1 ration only hitting 2db of compression on the drum peaks. Other than that the whole mix is uncompressed. As far as panning goes I kept the default panning on the Spitfire Audio Orchestra Pro instruments that were used. Not stereo widening was added either so it's pretty standard.

I'm glad that you enjoyed the composition though.

I'd say youre doing great. Your drum work was fantastic and you kept a really epic feel the whole time. Yours being less musically busy than mine would likely fit a game much better.

Thanks for listening and giving me your thoughts. Thisbis my first game jam really. I'm still wrapping my head around writing "game: style of music. After listening to other entries I think I went in too much of a film score style direction which made the melody a bit more nuanced.

Anyways thanks for listening to it.

God damn this is so good!
