Please try my pre-pre-alpha game https://itch.io/jam/game-name-game-jam-1/rate/4475692

Looking for testers and feedback before I proceed further with development. This is a barebones pre-pre-alpha version of the game, and is guaranteed to change for the better. There's a list of planned features on the description page here https://redherbentertainment.itch.io/aegis-1x. Have fun and thanks in advance.

Thank you for the suggestions, I agree the SFX are lacking and I plan to improve them when I have time and settle on a sound scheme. The fast missiles and off‑screen enemies were caused by miscalculated values on my part, I’m testing now to get those fixed. Also, thanks for the SFX link, I’ll check it out soon.

Thanks, I'm really glad you enjoyed it! I agree about making the game more scalable and different. I replied to the comment below yours with more detail, and I’ve also added a list of planned features to the game’s description page. Thanks again for the feedback, it helps a lot.

Thank you for your feedback. I'm aware of these shortcomings and had intended to implement most of the features you mentioned (bug fixes; story elements with individual missions and objectives; a proper soundtrack; more enemy types; an actual free-roam map with a variety of activities; a progress based shop system for purchasing vehicles and upgrades instead of automatic upgrades during battles; plus a few features I’m keeping under wraps). Unfortunately I could only work on the project after my regular job, so I had to compromise on many of the features. That's why the title includes "1.X" the "X" is a version number placeholder until development reaches a more advanced stage.

Please try mine https://redherbentertainment.itch.io/aegis-1x

I rarely get ratings in these jams so maybe linking it in a post like this will help. Please try it and rate it, you wont be disappointed.

Thanks for playing, I'm aware of the ammo and consumables bug and currently have it fixed, but I'm trying to correct one more bug and improve the balance a bit before I drop the update. If you have any suggestions on how I could improve the experience please let me know.

Hi. Thanks for playing! I’m actively working on this project and will be adding more levels, enemies, and details soon.

I like your video, and I've subscribed to your channel. Looking forward to more content!

Yes, that's the end of it for now. There was supposed to be an end screen but it doesn't load properly in the current version. Thanks for playing!

Try mine please.

you might give mine a try, it's not exactly spooky though.

I wouldn't say my game is particularly scary, but if your looking for something a bit different here's mine https://red-herb-games.itch.io/mass-acres.

I know it's past the deadline, but we encountered some bugs after packaging our game. Would it be alright if we upload a fixed version?

Sorry about that, it's set to public now.

The summoning UI is a bit weird, we didn't have time to rename the first set of buttons which were meant to track how many units of that type you have. To summon units click the big button first, then click the small buttons for the unit type you want, when your done summoning click the big button again to go back to previous widget. A cost indicator was planned but not implemented so here is a list of the costs; Ranger=50 food, 50 wood, 25 iron, Warrior=50 food, 25 wood, 50 iron, General=150 food, 225 wood, 150 iron, Deity=500 food, 350 wood, 350 iron.

Thanks, this is gonna be a fun jam.

I have a perfect game idea for this jam but I'm going to need at least 4-5 rendered images, which can take up to 48 hours each and will use up all of my processing power. Can I start setting up and rendering these now so I can actually focus on code when the jam starts?

Thanks, I was hoping to bugfix and polish it a bit more before submission but I got sidetracked by other things and ended up with only a few hours for the jam.
