I mean now that you mention it I suppose I did..18 levels and 4 secret rooms I suppose is a bit.. idk I'm just happy I finally managed to finish out my scope for a jam lol, last jam I was in I didn't even really get what I wanted to get done for my vertical slice lol😅

lol I can see that being frustrating, well the solution was very fun and gave some nice character, second thing I noticed about the game other than the super adorable birb and cute art style :3 (and the slight screenshake is just a cherry on top lol)

Tyy ^u^

I did write a little introduction for each of 'em but I didn't put them in the actual game anywhere:

🔴 Roj:

Always enjoying life, oblivious to what's around them

🟡 Ama:

Kinda concerned about wtf is happening

🟢 Ver:

**They've been screening in horror non-stop for 28 years, their voice has long since given out by this point**

Happy ya enjoyed the game ^u^

Glad ya liked it, yours was adorable too :3

Yeah when I came with my idea I didn't quite know why it popped in my mind and I definitely didn't expect someone else to do smth so similar lol

Yee I added more puzzle mechanics cuz I was finding the default mechanic by itself kinda hard to work with 😅 the crates gave a reason not to jump, and the levers have a reason *to* jump other than just going places

Ahh I considered adding R as an instakill button but I figured just jumping till you died was intuitive enough, didn't consider the impracticality of it

Whaa I thought I made it so you couldn't die after triggering a flag, were you playing build 4? A toggleable boolean to make it so the player can't jump would be smart though

And ty! ^^ Are most ppl not a solo dev here tho? I got a lot of group submissions for games on steam but I figured it was just cuz groups were more likely to go to strangers or something

P.S. the birds (barry?) little silly hops when they don't have a box is peak lol, just felt like mentioning that :p

Hahaha yeah it'd be nice if we could just get rid of those wouldn't it : transgender_flag:

Also yeah i did kinda decide for some reason that the levers were evil lol, maybe i went slightly overboard in the process :p

Glad u enjoyed it ^^

Tyyyyy yeah I think it was a game from the bad ideas game jam that made me realize that it's nice when you intuitively noticed how to solve each puzzle ^^ (out-of-bounds maybe? Idk if that was the one but I like it either way) so I def tried to keep the flow of every level teaching u smth new :3

If you're looking for a great puzzle game from this jam I'd recommend 5 steps left (https://zacharybarbanell.itch.io/five-steps-left) it's a head scratcher that I personally found quite enjoyable :D

Happy to see it seems you really enjoyed mine!  ^u^

Lol glad you had fun with it :3

Lol yeah I'm really happy with how the ending turned out xP. Happy ya liked the game ^^

Also your game was neat as well :3 I'm def not very good at it tho lol

Tyy ^^ I was definitely going for more of a cozy vibe with this one! Glad I achieved :3

Honestly I might, it does have a few untapped ideas and I could expand it a bit and make it feel more like a completed game n stuff

Glad u enjoyed solving my puzzles ^^

Love the consept, got stuck at some point after getting a second petal though, it seemed the only path that I could take was by moving a box through a secret tunnel between two rooms, but as soon as it would get in the tunnel, the box would stop moving

You sent the game to my stream but I'm guessing I didn't get to it before you had to go, quite similar idea to my game, entirely different execution, so that was interesting, LOVE barry, art is very cute. Got stuck at level 10, I think I missed the concept I was supposed to learn at level 9

Love this so much! Only note is that maybe there could be an audible counting sound before you run out of time otherwise it can be hard to notice if I'm locked in on the minigame, 10/10 though

interesting idea, I like the use of puzzle mechanics that compliment the main idea, and the dichotomy between the silly music and ominous background noise when you run out is really well done

ty ^^

TYSM for the feedback! ^^

You're right I think the jump really deserves it's own sound effect for how important it is, I somehow didn't even think to add one for jumping lol. Ima try and implement that in the time I have remaining.

Ty again and glad u liked the game ^^

10:58 on my first runthrough, there were way more levels than I was expecting lol, the level design made pretty much all the solutions feel pretty intuitive and satisfying, the gates taking time to move is pretty neat and I loved it when you put the pressure pads on the gates :3

tyy for the comment!

I'm a little confused since to me the whole game feels mostly just spam clicking as fast as possible while occasionally dragging goober out the line of fire, with the traps being the *only* strategical element for me. What kind of strategies ended up emerging?

thx for the comment ^^
trap setups got surprisingly thinky? how so?

also wha strawberry hauls? o.o

Love the ball trail turning more and more red as you get further in

no worries abt the wall of text I'm fine reading and often find myself a culprit of the same lol, sorry abt replying a whole week later though I don't go onto itch super often lol 😅

I have made a couple games before, what I meant was I felt inspired to make my own game that's just random shit made on a whim based on a random thing lol , and I agree gamedev is fun :)

Weird that unreal deletes things out of bounds but you could put an invisible collider right above the kill spot right? maybe the collider also follows the player so the player can't walk off it either, then you have it like bedrock does where you just can't go below a specific point

Ah about the animations I can see how that happened now lol, it is quite funny being able to spam play the songs over eachother tho xP, great feature :p

and thank *you* for replying I don't think I was expecting one lol, also I wasn't expecting the bugs to be fixed I was just pointing them out so that you could try to avoid the same bugs happening in future projects, and dw I was completely immersed in the experience of Steve the whole time lol xP

I noticed when I managed to get out of bounds that character seems to be removed, but that's where the script that allows me to quit out the game is lol. Also I can jump to cancel out of animations I'm not supposed to be moving in for some reason. I rate this 10/-12 my immersion into the role of steve was peak, and I feel inspired to make my own silly game just for the heck of it now

My time was 00:09:46:67 I'd recommend restarting the cycle every time you die next time tho. Also: please for the love of god add a button that kills yourself so if you fall down you don't have to wait for the timer to run out and also so you can restart the run without having to reopen the game

Why am I so horrifyed of a chicken tender

I just have to say, this really is the most inspiring game I have ever played. You HAVE to give this a shot!!
