I really like where this is going, but after the 2nd boss, the platforming--and what it asks of the player--went from a 3/10 difficulty to an 11/10. It suddenly became insanely unbalanced, asking the player to do nearly frame-perfect execution of some platforming moves. Kinda cruel when it feels like there's still at least 60% of the game ahead.
Frankly, it isn't fun anymore. There's one particular platforming challenge that is used not once, but *twice*, and although I've cleared it a handful of times, I literally have no idea how. Whenever I try to deliberately get past the challenge, I ALWAYS fail. But then sometimes when I get a bit panicked and wiggle the d-pad a little extra, I magically make it through. There just shouldn't be anything requiring such precision so early in a game, imho.
I'll probably come back to it sometime to try and overcome this frustrating area. Hopefully the difficulty doesn't get even more unfair...
Anyway, as I say, there's great potential here. The dev has a rough diamond that just needs more polishing.
